Hi Guys
Tried searching and couldnt find anything. Basically I've got a new macbook pro and want to use the migration assist to transfer everything over.. will this also transfer logic, all my plugins, presets etc?
Would hate to have to do all that over again.
Thanks!
migration to new mac question?

Re: migration to new mac question?
I recently came across the same problem. Basically if you want to transfer logic over, you have to transfer ALL of your applications over using migration assistant (and I'm not even certain that it works then, you'll definitely at least need the serial number). For example, I only wanted to transfer logic, reason, and some plugins, without bringing over all the shit i didn't want from my old mac. I got on the phone with apple and they told me it wasn't possible. I don't know if its because logic has files all over your computer (library, etc.) or what. But for me, whenever I download a program or plug in or something (by paying for them of course), I now always back them up to DVD for just this reason.

Re: migration to new mac question?
no problem. I read a lot of people saying that their brand new macs functioned less than well after using the migration assistant to move everything over, but that after wiping and doing a clean install that everything was fine, so that's probably thebest way to go anyways
