I did manage to get enough obsidian to make the portal though.

get 7 buckets of lava
make a trench 7 long 1 deep
place a lava source block in each of those spots
put water source on 1 end just above 1st in trench

I know that but there is still a chance of getting cobblestone, and i'm very unlucky most of the time..

What do you guys think? I have a shitload of iron, coal and glass, and lots of tree saplings.
Im thinking of making an underground tree farm, and another portal room with lava walls. this time ill back up my save before entering the portal though!

Apparently he is. there is already an unfinished dye system implemented into minecraft.
Also, he is rumoured to be making a block which acts as a booster circuit for minecarts.

I think he needs to work a bit on optimization. It's all well and good adding more and more features, but if you're not making sure they run well together as you go it's pointless. I get some really bad slow down and sound glitches quite often on a laptop that's pretty new. Hopefully now he's making a bit of money he can just pay someone to do that.

formant osc, modulation osc position osc on it, insert 1 s-shaper before filter, daft filter, insert 2 s-shaper post filter, chorus and eq after it
modulate to taste
the rest is up to you
