Doctor P Switches Up His Sound?

Post by illandnatti » Tue Nov 09, 2010 2:30 am

I didn't find a post about this at all, so I thought I'd start one. Most people here agree, including myself, that Doctor P's sound has not changed since Sweet Shop/Badman Sound. However I happened upon this one, and actually am digging it kinda. :o

I guess maybe he read a bunch of posts on here about him and changed his sound accordingly? I dunno, but I'm liking this new direction a lot more than his old.

Thoughts?

I imagine Doctor P. really couldn't give two shits what's said about him on this forum. That said, the only thing missing from this that doesn't make it a Doctor P style track are those horrible midrange bitcrushed sounds he uses on basslines.

haha yeah, seriously doubt it was from this forum's feedback

but i don't find it too dissimilar really. obvious omission of that screechy whistle

its ok. wouldn't buy it and wouldn't be stoked to hear it out though

it's basically the same except he's taken the unbearable screeching sounds out and toned it down a bit. in a way i actually somehow like this less

I agree with what others have said, I very much doubt that Doctor P (or any other producer) would change their sound based on what is said on this forum.

However i can also see what you mean by a change in style, but i would say its more about fitting the sound to the tune he was remixing than changing his style to keep people happy.

Oh, and i do quite like it.

this is one for the Nero fans! I personally prefer his usual stuff such as Marmite remix and In Da Hood...

Hmm, think you've mistaken the event itself. Datsik and Doctor P were not on the DMZ line-up from what I can remember.
