Good Drum Machine Controller?

right now i'm looking at the Akai MPD18 and MPD24. anyone ever tried them out or recommend something else?

edit: woops, not the MPD18; it has no MIDI

+1 for the Korg, the xy pad is handy as well.


Failing that, M-Audio TriggerFinger does the business, and has 8 x rotaries & 4 x sliders in lieu of the xy pad.
