bass experiment
this is a tune i was gonna delete cos it was my experiment with base. i didnt spend any time on the beats and because of this some parts dont flow as they should. i may sort out the beats when i get a dedicated drum module or vst.
anyway let me know what you think, i made this using 4 nightclub speakers so its pretty bassy NOT FOR HEADPHONES. if your listenin on hi fi speakers turn the bass right down.
heres the link
http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu ... d=71389760 one last thing if youve got a good system turn the fucker up...

i've cleaned it up a little, had problems uploading the bitch. should be up later. beats just been minimalised so they dont clash with a little processing added here and there....
i really want to make some beats so i'm wondering what people recommend drums bongo's etc.....
i'll probably scrap this and just use part of it as an intro or somat. time for a bifta

good job.looks like we're on simalar tip!
whats bfd? I take it as your using vsts youre using sumting like cubase? Or you using reaktor?
I use logic for most things so i use rmIV/exp24 thingy and my endless amounts of incredibly real drum hits- most are actually real samples.
Why wait till next month for battery? do you but all your stuff? If not you can require it from demonoid like me.-mac thou not sure about windoze.

gettin the money up for battery, should be next week i hope. big fukin drums is what bfd is and its shit for electronica as your stuck with a load of fuckin about before you can even add processing or anything. i just dont like using it for this kind of music. live rock drums are not for dub, i dont even have any reggae type drums with it.... roll on battery and yeah i use cubase and a shit load of vst's coke and ganja....lol

Don't get me wrong battery is good but what I meant was you don't need it.
You should stop procrastinating and finish the tune with the tools you have. Otherwise you'll keep finding excuses not to finish tunes because you don't have this or that VST or whatever.
Also I would get Kontant over battery any day of the week. It can do so much more than just drums, and the effects and filters are wicked.

lol, i know what your sayin pal but your wrong(bfd has a limited selection of drum samples and those i dont like). i already started exporting samples from bfd but it took so much fukin about that it would take me two weeks to do the beats. you need to be able to produce ideas as they come. if it takes too much fukin about you lose intrest and the idea. when i have battery hopefully i'll be able to show ya what i mean...

Kontakt and Battery are both good, but for making beats the cubase audio editor is fine imo. It means you get to see what the waveform's doing really clearly, have full control over each hit, and routing stuff to group tracks is easy.
Sorting out phase issues (if you want to layer up several snares, and ensuring the attack of each is in phase) is easier when you're not using Kontakt / Battery imo. Kontakt or Battery are wicked for getting ideas down fast if you've got a midi controller obviously, I ain't got one though so that doesn't help me at the minute

yeah i like the audio editer, i use it a bit. so you do all your drums in there. i'll have to give it a try although thinking about it, the process will seem a bit long winded...

Save your money, put it towards live 6 or logic. Logic gives you exs24 which is amazing esp making your own sampler inst. Dums/Samples anything can be loaded up. So much fun to use. And its free with logic.Only problem is logic is 700 boys.
Battery is good mate but there are better...even for free. Have you played with Drumazon? (D16 Group)
