Im sure a lot of stick will probably come with this post but ah well.
I just wanted to know if anyone has any tips or ideas (as im an amateur) on how to create the second bass that comes in the tune, the one with less attack on it and sounds a little more metallic
cheers, and big ups to vivek by the way, massive tune :Q:

Ramp/Saw wave LFO's on the cutoff, over a distorted reese, bit of post filter distortion if your feeling bold...

At 50 seconds in you have the ramp LFO thing, and a really really fast lfo'd white noise sweep.

Its generally quite hard, if your working with talented synthesists... Im still, years in, trying to replicate the synth Mujava used in Township Funk... And damn'd if I could make synth sax's like joker can... but some of these bass patches are common concepts really dude... The ramp lfo/rhythmic gate's been around since psytrance, the reese underneath has been there since... well the dawn of EDM... and you combine the two and viola! $$$ ...

The VAST majority of EDM is built around simple enough concepts, its all about creative application of them...

Its kind of all the same concept. You just have to look at it like, "how would I achieve that sound if I had rackmounted outboard gear?"

It's a neat idea, but I think it defeats the purpose of going digital for managing audio.
This. I basically hate anything with that "brutal electro" sound; it sounds all like HUGLAGHALGHALGHAL

What do you mean hard/smooth? Distort it.

problem solved, the env. on the filter of the reese too low, lacked a bit of crunch. Thanks for your tuting mate!

Why? Reason isn't a DAW. standalone, it is a midi production suite, and reWired, it is a massive VSTi with dedicated midi sequencer.

i love Reason! it's not a digital audio workstation.

Ahhh your so right :) It's got nothing to do with digital audio. I mean it's not like you can use digital synthesisers within reason, create drum loops, use samples, and play with a mixer... The only thing this is good for is makeing fun of and looking at all the cool color coded stuff!!!!! :h:

Reason is a DAW just as any other... FL, Logic, Ableton, Acid, Cubase, etc... It's also a very effective plug in (i'll give you that one :W: ). Those who bash it are most likely ones that fail with it :4:
