Nope, I stereotype them. If they say they like dubstep but haven't heard of the actual artists then I assume they browse youtube for "da filfeeist trak yet!!1!"

I get stereotyped as an indie tnuc, perhaps because I look like one; but people look at me and dubstep is the last thing people will think I like.

yeah i think ppl do..stereotype. but they stereotype me as in being into brostep, not the real dubstep as they most probably have not heard it.

Exactly. I grew up through my teens listening to primarily metal (and still enjoy it on the occasions I listen to it); what tends to amuse me are the fat long-haired metal heads who stereotype those who aren't fat, greasy and long-haired claiming they can't possibly like metal because of what they look like. It's happened to me, it's happened to friends :5:

I don't think dubstep has a stereotypical 'listener'. Thankfully 8)
