Check out my RinseSessions CD pack mix

That was 3 decks - 4 at one point but only for a short period.

Hell yeah that's gonna be sick, I can't wait to see that, wait, that's me on the tables isn't it, damn, I'm such an Idiot  I do a 2x4 dnb with a tinge of turntablism/hip-hop that works well. I would think that with the bass frequencies around here that 3 could easily turn into mush but I'm interested. Any suggestions on where to find someone doin strictly dubstep without the grimey edge on 3 decks?

I have 3 decks set up ...I think you really need to be carefull with the tunes you pick cus it can sound a bit cluttered. Its pretty fun to play on 3 decks though...

My mix only has 2 grime tunes on it, so I'd give it a shot. You'll probably survive the few minutes with those nasty rude MCs. The rest isn't grimey at all.

And cheers everyone who already mentioned my mix.

Summer is going to see some serious 4 deck, 2 mixer action. Hopefully get something good enough to record out of it.

LOL, apparently i was because youngsta did a 3 deck set "for the first time" this thursday just gone... might see him do it live in 2008?

heres the show: http://www.rinse.fm/podcasts/Youngsta81107.mp3

definitely a special show - check out the very first mix with "living different" and that supafly tune coming in. he did that "stutter" sound thing too where you play two of the same plates and get the kicks/snares to "repeat" or whatever. constantly uppin the levels! "baddest dj on road"!

he did prove he is human after all with one mix at the end though!

true, but when done right it can sound like youre listening to a completely new track, even though youve heard the individual tunes countless times

i'm buying a third turntable so i can start doing it, be heaps of fun..
and would make it so easy to cue up a tune.. even if u didnt mix 3 tunes at once u would have records ready to go as soon as u finished a mix...

Couldn't you mix two tunes with serato using the internal mixer and then mix a third tune in on the other deck? I expect AT LEAST 2 tunes to be playing simultaneously for your entire show tomorrow night.

I'm doing a show on 4 decks before the end of the year on Rinse.

I recorded a 4 deck mix for the first Rinsessions CD pack - see if you can get hold of it - 51 tunes in 60 minutes.

Also did a 3 deck set at 333 once, and also at Herbal.

Check Plastics Rinsessions, representing!!
I'll happily do 3 decks live.. had a few 3 deck bookings.
You hear people saying they can do 3-4 decks etc but in reality they would clanger bang it up live.
Used to do 4 deck sets with DJ 24K but I've never had 4 decks in my house at once though to practice 4 decks on my own plus my Vestax only has 3 channels.
