terrence malick is an odd case

he made badlands and days of heaven back to back and then disappeared for 20 years when he reemerged with the thin red line which was like woah. he's kept it consistently dope since then with the new world and there's a new one about to premier that was filmed here in austin. dude is as good as kubrick.

Dude just wants to do his thing, got to respect that. He isn't there to milk it, he just wants to make sweet films. From the wiki, Tree of Life looks like it could be good. Has he carried over his style into any of his recents?
