Dubstep.. Older than you think!.

Post by critical » Tue Nov 16, 2010 2:43 am

My friend and I are forced to listen to a shit radio station everyday at work.. To pass the time we pick out older tunes that might work in a dubstep set..
This was the (fucking awful in my opinion) track of the day. :5: might need to be slowed a bit.

..any other songs to drop in a set in an effort too get a laugh, or maybe just confuse an entire room of people?

Agreed. I got hooked on Italo Disco a couple of years ago. I started listening to it ironically at first then I realized that it's just completely awesome, full stop.

Just learning about it . . Chromeo sounds a bit like this yeah?

I was always curious what 'Snoop Dogg - Sensual Seduction' was all about . . perhaps its some sort of different sound.

I think about this all the time. The trick is to pick a GOOD song to begin with, and one that will make everyone dance. Like this one.

And if you want fast rap this one.

Here the similar aspects are the 140 bpm drum, think a little slower, and offcourse the snare on the 3th count

Wall of Voodoo - Most definitely a one hit wonder produces a solid track. You're range of music is lacking because you would have all ready heard this 80's classic, been aware of the Authority Zero cover and realized the potential that this shitty melody has- DNB maybes. It's a fun song - but I understand how rough that would be at work.

Keep listening brother and I've got dubstep, grime and electro for you www.thefilth.us
