ay do i have to be a chef to know that his food that I'm eating is shit?
He added to much pepper, burnt the crust & added way too much cheese.

Tis that some as critiquing music!

Anyways... I love the oldskool dstep, but some of the modern filthy tracks can make me bang my head hard.

I don't understand why there have been so many threads about this subject...
shit, listen to what pleases ya.

EZ, this mix is intended to demonstrate where I am comming from, low the shitty mixing in at times I rushed it to get this out there.
Hope this gives some insight into my mindset. You may notice one or two tunes considered brostep, this is just to demonstrate that wobbles can be sublow too.

Love.

Let's quote Borgore: "Fuck you and your ambient shit"

do not get me wrong..i love ambient dubstep and i love tunes that blast my head off because the different aspects which dubstep is all about cannot be compiled in just the slow ambient subbass music (which is godly too) but it is about the creation of a tune and not how attracting it is to a greater mass...if it well produced you can't conplain about it...maybe you just do not like how it sounds and that differs from person to person..

Dubstep has this different sub genres...just accept this way dubstep goes!

Seriously? Of course I can criticise work even If i don't make music myself. What so the people who write empire magazine have no write to criticise the films they review? Grow up dumbass. I dj and therefore have more than enough knowledge on what makes a tune work or not. The beauty of criticising music is that you can use your fucking ears douche.

Honestly Snypadub, when I first read this post, I had a bit of a wtf feeling about the whole thing (I read it because of your comment on Ted and my tune). But then I got to thinking and I get your point. I'm not a dubstep DJ, so I don't have the same worries that you do, but I see some of the same shit with house music (particularly Electro). Long story short, electronic music is all about bass and sub. No matter what genre you are working on, it is supposed to sound good on a big system - and sub is a big part of that.

But what you are missing is that this is a board full of people who are still learning how to produce. Not everyone here can make a tune yet that does all the things they want it to and still manages to have serious sub in it. Getting the sub right is hard, and a lot of people don't know how to do it, and even more people spread misinformation about how the 'pros' supposedly do it. Moreover, by comparison getting the ability to make a basic wobble, or yoy bass is rather easy. And it's a part of the learning process no matter what you end up making in the long run. It's just fucking cool to make something that sounds kind of like _________ (insert your current favorite producer here) and people try to do it all the time. You shouldn't get mad at them for it. They are learning, and every sound they learn how to make is one more step towards pro sound. (You should hear some of my sad attempts at making DnB - rofl)

Just be patient mate, and stay true to YOUR roots. But don't try to enforce your ideas on other people - stay positive, critique tracks when necessary, but don't bash people who are trying to learn (feel free to bash the big boys though). Don't worry, electro never killed off deep-house. Yoy basses, and heavy metal won't kill off the deeper dubbier forms of dubstep.

Thats the perfect mind frame to be right there. It's all Individual, Just cuz ya don't like don't mean it sucks. It cracks me up how so many ppl Stress themselvs out on this forum peaching bout whats wrong with dubstep. They are all end up dying of dubstep induced strokes by the time they are 30. If more ppl took the approach mentioned above, DSF would be a way more productive forum.

Can't fault it. got a nice jungle influence in there, spacy intro and subtle but powerful sub.
Big ups on that one.

correct me if im wrong but all the deep heads are still producing their stuff. just one area of the scene is over saturated with tunes and they have become throw away because dubstep has grown so much.

if you don't like brostep dont download it? what is it to you?
its like a brostep head getting fucked off with a classic rock fan for just not understanding his scenester attitude. i mean... woops...

edit: also, nobody cares if you are embarrassed to say that youre into dubstep. you don't need to justify yourself. just fucking sit down and do what you do and do it with sincerity.

At the end of the day, it's all music, be it dubstep, brostep, crapstep, hisstep, herstep, they'restep.. I don't give a damn what you call it, if it sounds good, listen to it.

Right now, people are going to say "the classic stuff is b0mb!" .. a few years from now, people will be saying "The 2010 stuff was b0mb!" .. And so on down the road.

It really doesn't matter, don't we all listen to what we enjoy? If I enjoy Datsik & Excision BAZZE (Lols) .. Then who gives a damn? That goes for the same person who likes Skrillex, Mt 3D3N, Or whatever else gets you hard.

Does it really matter? NO. Music is to enjoy, I listen to music because I enjoy what I listen to, if you like some other crap, that's your issue, I don't have to listen with you.

Sound progresses, nothing sounds like MJ and Elvis any more, but you get over it, and get with the times.

Stop whining like a damn 9 year old..

You can record yourself producing saliva, and listen to it on replay 24/7 for all I care, so what? ..

Dubstep is progressing, whether you see it that way or not, nothing stays the same, and I doubt it will "die" because of the progression.. It will probably change up a bit, and go mainstream, but I doubt it will kill any one..

If you care so much, keep listening to the old stuff, and just ignore the new stuff, or learn to produce, and make sounds like the old stuff..

Because I'm damn sure not going to produce a certain way, because I want to please some one who's living in the 70's.

Now it's 3:34 AM, I'm done ranting ;l
