Collaboration over the internet

Post by superginger » Fri Nov 19, 2010 5:37 pm

Hey guys!
Been producing for a couple of months now, and now I was talking tho this guy which also uses FL Studio, whom is intrested in a collab. I think it sounds fun, but I don't know it works.

When you collaborate over the internet, how do you manage? Got any tips or guides?

thanks in advance

Anytime I do it, I just tell them to get something halfway done, and then send me project stems, and then do whatever in the blank spots. I'm also like 900% positive there are better ways. will be watching this thread

stems are always easy. send via skype or aim and you are golden. recently though, a friend and i have started using dropbox shared folders. we actually save the project folder inside the shared folder, and save version numbers as we go along so we can go back. works like a charm.
