So my stock iPod headphones went out on me the other day so i was in the market for some new headphones and picked up a new pair of Klipsch Image S2's for $15 shipped. My friend has some S4's which i must say are the best sounding earbuds ive ever used, however, theyre like $60+ so i went with the S2's. so far im pretty happy. at first they didnt really have much low-end and the treble was way higher than it seems like it should be. could this be due to the fact that they still need to be broken in? cause they sounds pretty good now. then again, do headphones really have a wear-in period??
anyway, i might be in the market to get a different pair and maybe sell these but was looking for some suggestions. im currently watching a pair of S4's so if the bid gets too high for my liking then i'll look for something else. Im also watching a pair of Sennheiser CX-400's. anyone ever use them?
obviously im not willing to spend over $50 for a pair of headphones right now so keep that budget in mind
Thanks

dude for like $30 you can get some close eared Sennheiser HD 201 that will out perform any earbud... not the greatest of headphones in the scope of things but MUCH better than any earbud

Skull candy, seriously, I had a pair of ink'ds that lasted twice as long as the sonys I just broke and sounded twice as good. Maybe it was just a bad pair of sonys, but from that experience i would definitely take SK just because they're super cheap and they last a super long time. They always have for me anyhow.
EDIT: also noteable, they sonys supposedly designed for big bass weren't shit. Next to the Sk pair or otherwise.

(MDR)Xb40EX's and Xb20EX's, both of the extra bass models, I just broke the 20's in about two months, the 40's lasted a lot longer and were actually pretty decent, but they cost 90 bucks next to 60.

V-Moda Bass.
This is the bad points they usually list on reviews:
'The bad: Music coming from the V-Moda Bass Freq earphones may be too bass-heavy for audio purists'
Trying to get on MTV is like trying to be employee of the month at McDonald's.

Correct, they also make some killer expensive ones.
My pair cost R750, not sure what the pound/rand exchange is.
They are perfect sounding and bass heavy.
The most comfortable pair of buds I`ve ever had.

Skull Candies proved to be gimmicks, nothing more.
