Because he tried to switch up his sales angle based on an instant categorization of one of the people he was trying to sell it to: in other words, he tried to lie to sell his cd based on [what he thought] we listened to.
How in the fuck do you know that? Maybe he was trying to sell Dubstep before your fucking wife even opend her fucking yap. STFU and GTFO dont even try to justify your or your wife's bullshit. YOu can't fucking read people's mind so shut the fuck up

No offence but

That could be because you're being pretentious and just as image conscious as the posers pretending to like dubstep

I just generally try to avoid morons... (girls are THE worst, ive spoke to at least 5 who don't know what mainstream music is..) and if i am confronted by such people then i just try to be nice and usually bring up a discussion about magnetic man or something.. because they are in the public eye but are still making great music. this way i don't have to facepalm into oblivion

Weirdest "oh you're a dubstep dj" type conversation I've had was pretending I didn't mind all the brostep crap that kept being brought up by a stripper I was talking to in a strip club once

How this situation even came about I don't know. I was fucking hammered

i learnt from many years working in offices, bars and call centres that most people don't really think about the music they listen to too much. if you spend your whole time going around judging people on their music taste you won't get on with anybody. doesn't mean that i won't tell people what i listen to if they ask but i won't just come out and ram it down their throats. if they don't have any taste then i don't tend to think less of them, i just won't ask them to do me a mix tape or recommend me a night to go to...
