damu wrote:for the record, i went to this last night and it was absolutely terrible. sound quality was so bad some tunes were unrecognisable. i know this isn't neccessarily his fault but it wasn't a problem for anyone else, so i suggest he buys a new interface.
on top of that he did the whole ipod in mask thing again, tunes weren't mixed, no effort put in whatsoever. several times he gave the finger to people in the crowd who had cameras out. which is out of order in my opinion. he made lots of mistakes, starting new tracks by accident and stuff like that.

on the plus side he showed up on time and played the whole slot.

i don't get his deal. don't jump on me here for criticizing him, i'm not his biggest fn anyways, but i know loads of people who'd been looking forward to seeing him play for ages and seeing as he's probably getting paid well over £1000 he could have at least bothered to put in an iota of effort.

waster
I wasn't there on the night due to the event being sold out. But if what you're saying is true that is very shitty on his behalf, and it seems to me he was just there for financial reasons.

Could someone offer another perspective of the night?

_jonObi @shellzenner Yep, massively. Wasn't feeling the group crush-&-sway as Four Tet came on though. Missed Mount Kimbie. Loved the Zomby set.

mwarrilow Last night, mount kimbie (rammed) zomby (ravey) James Blake (crunky) jamie xx (garagey) actress (loud), overall, pretty win #whp @WHP_Mcr

JuicyClub @nowwave Nah Caribou was better. I thought Zomby was the best, James Blake played some good new stuff too.

to be fair, damu has come a long way production wise... some of his earlier stuff was kinda zomblish, but i feel he has found his own sound quite nicely now

went to this on Saturday, its really showed me how spoilt you are living in London. The sound quality was crap, and it was far to packed. I did still really enjoy Actress' set and had a good time just wasn't feeling it being that packed at all
