Doesn't need to be copyrighted, its OP's intellectual property and as long as he has proof of its origin he has a leg to stand on if he were to pursue it through courts, but yeah good luck if the labels in Russia.

Re: Stolen Artwork For Album Cover????
yea your fucked if they're russian lol
what is of value and wisdom for one man seems nonsense to another.
Re: Stolen Artwork For Album Cover????
Hope your not one of those ppl who believe in intellectual property!!! As long as they are not taking credit for the creation for the artwork, sit back and feel good about the fact that someone digs your art enough to use it on their album.
*EDIT* GOD......I FUCKIN HATE the concept of intellectual property!!

Re: Stolen Artwork For Album Cover????
visual intellectual property doesn't have to be copyrighted. unlike music, the burden of proof to prove your image was manipulated is much easier.64hz wrote:is it copyrighted?

better off going with the digital tunes site. They'll send you an email saying some shit about how they're an automated service blah blah blah. You send them back a letter saying thats horse shit and they're responsible for all content on their site and it gets taken off that site. I doubt it will do much, russians are impossible to deal with.
Take faith that their fellow russians will quickly pirate that album and the odds of them making anything over $3 is slim and none
Re: Stolen Artwork For Album Cover????
I'm probably responding to a troll here, but if your tracks didn't suck ass, I'd sell them and take all the money, because intellectual property is sooooooo dumb.th@-pu$$y wrote:Hope your not one of those ppl who believe in intellectual property!!! Re: Stolen Artwork For Album Cover????
First off, you CAN get paid for your shit with out putting some sort of copy right on it, Second, realize that those copyright laws are responsible for ppl suing sample based producers for tens and sometimes hundreds of thousands of dollars because they sampled a 2 second vocal or some other audio clip that "belongs" to somebody else. In the beat making community I really think people would be even more open to the idea that of "Heres what I did now sample it and make it your own" mentality that inspires all the killer remixes and re edits out there. But I suppose it's imposible for you to understand such a concept when you've got your head so far up that smug ass of yours!Helix [Delay] wrote:I'm probably responding to a troll here, but if your tracks didn't suck ass, I'd sell them and take all the money, because intellectual property is sooooooo dumb.th@-pu$$y wrote:Hope your not one of those ppl who believe in intellectual property!!!
