Some russians provided me with a copy a while ago and i must say i've been thouroughly enjoying the album.
And this whole "he's a dick why would i like his music?" attitude is laughable. Why would you care?
I like this tune a lot and the video is suitably bizarre

yeah he definitely has made some sick beats over the years. as far as his rapping, he hasnt ever said anything particularly memorable.

Not really. You can pick it the way someone is from their rapping.

His general style of rapping is also terrible making it worse and he never says anything particularly interesting either.

The boy has a stupidly big ego, but production wise he can occaiasionally deliver a gem

This one made the mundane bus trip to work a memorable one...

in any case... just blaze > kanye west as far as former in-house roc-a-fella producers go.

shame just never became as popular...i don't think i've even heard shit about him in a year.

lol that album is still in the works? i was almost certain saigon was a lost cause, like some of those other mixtape rappers i.e. papoose, jin, cassidy, (although he had albums, they just sucked), some of those diplomats guys, etc.

his whole shit's been in progress since 2000, i remember he had a feature in unsigned hype back then, and that was when the source still had credibility....the hype has come and gone for that dude imo. shame really. he was a lot better than a lot of the nonsense. i think hes got an ngo and does community shit so props for that.

i think this was one of his first tunes. dope shit.

for sure..strange to me that an album with a bunch of just blaze productions and a jay-z feature doesn't get a major label release. I still rinse his moral of the story mixtape from a few years ago.

that tune you posted is siiiick

love Just too, but if you heard this terrible Darude sampling bit of pop whoring, then you've heard him recently (and several cameos in the vid)

I would do terrible things to Nicki Minaj. Her verse on Monster is flames... she's killing MCs all over their own tracks at the moment. Anyone know if her album holds up to the last year or so of guest spots she's done!?

Her album is wank. It's commercial.
If you like Nicki for her verses, stick to the mixtapes.

I finally heard the Kanye album in it's entirety last night... now granted I was
high as a kite - I thought it was fucking genius. As an album, every track had one
of those "hair on the back of your neck" moments. There's a fine art with Autotune...
He's done his best Roger Troutman impression imho. The guitar arrangements are
great. The piano breaks, same. As always, Kanye's used his MPC to great effect.
The verses aren't so tight anymore (If anyone has noticed over the last few years,
Rhymefest has been ghosting all of Kanye's rhymes. But since they went their separate
ways, Kanye's been writing his own stuff again.) but they're still ok.
