nah you'll be fine

Sure, latency and power becomes a issue with usb 1.1 but I haven't heard any latency or power issues in reviews!

I know a model of the saffire series - the LE, had insane amount of issues with it sometimes not turning on, on first boot up - people having the reset their machines as soon as it booted just to get sound (weird bug, I know!) and also people have said the suite what comes with the drivers has some horrible sound issues.. I don't know if this is true anymore!

Everyone has their favourite brands, just whatever you buy make sure you pick what what has a return policy !

Yeah im pretty stuck between the saffire 6 and the audio kontrol 1. USB 2 just seems better to me, although i wont be recording that much. Just seems like 1.1 is outdated technology. The again iv read about a lot of people having issues with the audio kontrol 1. Why is there not a rock solid usb 2.0 interface anywhere for under £200!

because by the time the technology is cheap enough to turn a decent profit 3.0 will be the standard
simple technology 101
you want the current and best you pay the premium
