The reason I got interested in "Dubstep" is because of the distorted mid range woow wooow sound in the first place. I don't give shit what you call it...dubstep or not but who cares about weather or not some dude on a message board considers it real dubstep...it is what it is. I prefer the word "grime" over dubstep which The Elitist was complaining about but really....who cares. I like it all, the sub low bass and the insane distorted basses and I don't fence myself into only listening to a certain style. I'm new to the forum and this is one of the first posts I read, just thought I'd give my opinion......not that it means anything. :)

EZ, this mix is intended to demonstrate where I am comming from, low the shitty mixing in at times I rushed it to get this out there.
Hope this gives some insight into my mindset. You may notice one or two tunes considered brostep, this is just to demonstrate that wobbles can be sublow too.

Can't mix? Only one type? Did you listen to that mix then?
There are one or two hiccups (we all make mistakes trust) because I rushed it up, wanted the selection heard tbh. Don't usually put a mix up unless I am completely satisfied that the mixing is tight. All the same, the mix is predominantly well mixed and the selection is varied. From mystiks to the likes of benton and kutz. If ya gunna rip on a mix at least listen to it first.

i listened to all of it n its mostly garage/grime n bit of dubstep, theres nothing there which people like to call 'brostep' which this thread was based on, and all the songs played use really familiar sounds which i could reproduce and send you the patches. you would then be able make your own tune and learn a bit more about the production values of music. and im not saying you would be out of order to criticise songs without being a producer, of course you can, but if you took the time to see what exactly goes into making any sort of dubstep/elctro/dnb tune, maybe you wouldnt be so hasty about leaving negative comments on peoples music with blatant ignorance.

Dubstep is running it's course like most all genres do/have done, to be fair the early producers (horsepower/el-b skream etc.) featured the lfo and the "wobble" effect so that is very much a part of the sound and people have just built around that idea. However I think that the majority of new producers neglect the sub, and imo the sub is the one truest elements to dubstep

What I like about dubstep is how flexible the genre is. Anybody can do what they want with their music. You can't tell someone to do something you way you want it.
