Horror film techniques/samples
Alright gentlemen.
Just on the lookout for any techniques or samples i could potentially use as music to a horror film. I'm pretty clueless on ideas to create tension so any help on dischords and literally any techniques used in horror scores would be great. I say samples too as this doesn't need to be an original composition it can all be samples if need be - I just need to demonstrate my ability to put together a soundtrack that fits in with the video and then EQ in prep for the human speech, automated dialogue replacement etc.
TLDR - Any eerie or screeching samples to create tension, or any playing techniques to do the same thing.
Cheers!

Take a sample of a train horn, and slow it down. haven't acctually tried it yet, but from this video it sounds pretty scary.marshy wrote:Alright gentlemen.

Well big range in dynamics can help alot, so loud crashes really sound loud if you get what i mean.
