Im not so sure about evol intent + dubstep.
I doubt they did it in the "Evol Intent" style that you are thinking of. I know The Enemy and Knick are into more than just dnb, so I think it might sound kind of interesting. Who knows.
They are cool with Mayhem, who is also dabbling in dubstep, and doing so quite nicely if I do say so myself.
Would like to hear this, but I'm not the biggest fan of The Nine...

The Nine is a pretty pap tune in my eyes, heard it too many times, mixed in the same way (you all must know what I mean, when people tease it in) although I can imagine it being sick the 1st time it ever got played out. will check this Dubstep remix later on when i get home. As for Evol Intent making Dubstep I would be interested to hear some of their stuff although I don't have very high hopes as only JuJu of the DnB producers moving to Dubstep has impressed me so far
P.S Mayhem - Moonway Renegade (One of my favourite DnB tunes ever)

To be fair, it was unbelievable in the first instance.

I thought Hijak was an ex junglist, or have i pulled that wrongly from the reaches of my stoner brain?

I think you might be surprised myself, another D+B man comin with some siiick goods is Jakes. Admittedly a lot dont seem to initially get it, thinkin they can just use DnB sounds n slow it down, but they learn! (Or at least some of em do).
@ Paulie- :script: when the nine first dropped people shat themselves on dfloors across the land.

The Nine is still sick, nobody ever plays it properly though it just gets teased

its really funny that the nine situation is the same here as the rest of the world
got caned to death first time around
still gets teased in the same way, etc etc
if there was to be a dubstep treatment i'd like to see it go swingy garage

the nine/the bridge isn't listed but somebody is selling the nine/dogfight for 40 pounds.
i reckon the bridge is the more valuable eh

The first time we all heard the nine was at Apex in bristol in 1998 ( I think) you have to remember that it was made almost 10 years ago. Nothing else had those kind of shakers before then and the bass fill at the end of each sequence sounded like an aircraft taking off!
I am as bored of it as everyone else but at the time it rewrote D+B.
It also spelled the begining of the end for the genre as exciting music.

did not rewrite dnb at all
it was just another techy jumpy tune in the ram vein that andy c had been caning for 2 years already
