Pianoroll in Reason

Post by capsule » Wed Mar 28, 2007 11:55 am

Pfff how simple that it looks how hard that it is....FOR ME!
Im used to the FL Pianoroll, and thought it was a bit the same but its totally diff!!!
Its not that you click the notes where you want them and right click them to erase them...HELL NO! First you choose the pencil and then the gum!

Anyway it annoys me cause i dont know how to use it...Where are all the buttons as FL cause i have the feeling that all these icons you see on the sequencer are not as many as FL.

Can someone explain me how i fill in a descent melody into the sequencer??!!!

the matrix sequencer is more like the fruity piano roll

you can plug one in and make several patterns and then copy them to the arrangement between your loop points. just make sure it goes into the instrument track and not the matrix track or you won't get a sound when you turn the matrix off.

use the selector arrow to move, erase, elongate...if you need to darw something in, then hit ALT and it turns into the pencil. if you write a note you dont want, hit ctrl z. this eleminates the need for the gum to be used at all.
saves alot of time trust me.
