london or brighton?

Post by lozengerblush12 » Fri Nov 26, 2010 11:21 pm

i'm in my final year of A levels, have got offers from sussex and goldsmiths to study year 2011, having trouble making a decision on where to go, partially down to night life. i know both brighton and london are bursting with bass but any advice on which place is maybe more accessible/would be better as a student? ive had some sick nights out in brighton, only went to london once to see n type at east village and no one was very into it, mightve jsut been an off night i guess. any advice gratefully received...

Come down to sussex mate, everyone plays down here and the nights dont always get too crowded, its pretty cheap and you dont have to travel far to go out.

Appleblim and I've probably missed a whole load off as well. Not to mention all the Dnb etc. Brighton is definately doing big things and has been for years. Got so many massive nights based in Brighton:
Dubpressure
Resonance
Vagabondz
Aka Aka Roar
Supercharged
Well Rounded
Deadly Rhythm to name a few, and a silly amount of sick local DJs.
Plus nearly all the big clubs are about a 10 minute walk from each other and the others are not much further than that. I'm just pissed I'm going to have to leave next year to take a years placement :(

Sussex is a good one to go for, night life or no night life. The night/social life for students who go there is very very good, whatever you're into. And everything is virtually on your doorstep.

Brighton... I am a Londoner and live near goldsmiths but the best nights of my live have been down Brighton. On an educational stand point Goldsmiths is full of pretentious people (students and lecturers) and a awful working/living environment even if it does have good courses and a good name! The only decent nights personally for me in London are Mindstep and when FWD have a decent line up but you can always just travel up for that!
