it'll take your soul. Fucked up alot of shit for me, luckily I didn't get mega-deep into it like some heads. I've seen it completely destroy a few peoples lives. Bad bad stuff.

It's a pretty tame drug in fairness, only reason for people to get caught up in 'addiction' was down to it's accessibility and cheapness.

In comparison to other drugs it's massively forgiving, you couldn't take grams upon grams every weekend of most other drug and not do yourself immediate damage. Very little comedown either other than being a little zoned out the next day. Only drawback was it's effect of making people really fucking irritating.

Fair enough we don't no the long term damage we've done ourselves, but after caining it regularly over about a year I can't say I'm worse off health wise now, and at no point do I feel 'compelled' to take it other than enjoyment.

And yeah no-one ever called it Meow.

In terms of effects it's not that weird or messed up. Just a straight forward speedy and somewhat euphoric (nowhere near levels of MDMA) rush. It's a lot safer and less edgy than the Crystal Meth problem you have in the US.

I did mcat two or three times, it was alright, not worth the level of addiction that comes with it.
I had a mate that was on 2 and a half g a day.

apparently it did make an appearance over the summer. I was working in mid/east NC over the summer and this random college kid who doesnt have much interest in drugs outside weed (and i guess coke) one day told me about how he was really hungover coz he was up late doing this drug he didnt know the name of but it was legal and how when he had been really drunk on it he busted his hands/knuckles when he got thrown out of a house party. i can only assume it was the meow-khat

also, apparently qat / khat is massive in somalia. doesnt sound like one for me but its awesome how many psychoactive plants there are out there.

i actualy think MCAT is a decent drug for what it is...

still surpassed by ketamine/mdma/coke but its not far off

the main downsides are it makes you smell, makes you look FUCKED UP, and everytime i did it when it was legal we'd always have too much of it and like with coke end up drinkin exhorbitant amounts thus the hangover the next day directly related to mcat and was literally paralysing sometimes... but it was still fun to smash it for a while, and i'll still do a key if its offered but doubt id buy

It filled a void when good MDMA/pills weren't available and, although it was a little moreish, I found if you bought as much as you'd want to take over the weekend there was no danger of taking too much.

People who have fucked up their lives on it prob would have done the same on some other substance eventually anyway. What ever happened to taking drugs sensibly? The shit isn't THAT addictive.

Those who mention these fucked up lives...Are they still fucked up? Still taking it? Or some sort of permanent damage?
