why are you running it through an amp after the mixer? is there a record out/line out on the mixer somewhere? should be able to just plug it straight to your PC from that. may even have just been that the levels on your PC were too loud and it was distorting

nah can't afford it. flights were cheap but the rest of it wouldn't have been

Vinyl is more than fine. I've gotten alot better now after regular practice, although my mixer is absolutely bumfucked.

Didn't you used to be a civil servant? I would of thought that these sorts of problems wouldn't be, well, problems dues to your years of service or some shit.

used to be is the operative part of that sentence
i quit and moved away from sheffield. years ago they'd have relocated me and got me a job but they don't do any of that any more
