Gutting.

Another amazing record shop closes, and another nail in the coffin to the communities that helped give birth to this sound.

Soon it will all be beatport mp3s and the warm analogue sound will be gone :( as will I.

Saddest thing here is I wonder how many people in the scene know or care who rooted records were

aw shit. iv only ever been there once but it was amazing- it took me ages to find it but so worth it when i did. literally every single record in the shop was amazing, i bought as much as i could carry and a skull disco hoodie. my girlfriend had to physically pull me out of the store. i was really looking forward to getting more records there when i went back to england next year. will it be closed by march??

This is a major shame if it's true, never been to the actual shop but if I buy any Bristol based tunes, it's always from their website.

Rooted is like a staple of the bristol scene without it Bristol won't be quite the same.
We can make a differenc though.
Not quite the same scenario but last year another mecca of dubstep The Black Swan was ordered to close by the council. We the people made a difference then don't see why we can't change rooted's fate either.

Big up Peverlist for such an amazing place. Big up all the rooted fam.

The Black Swan is HEAVY and totally legendary. I went before it got closed down but haven't been back in Bristol since it reopened, glad it did though.

Would be nice if Rooted could be saved too.

True dat what you saying on it got any info bruv? I really don't know what to do without rooted it's where I go for fresh Bristol beats.
Is it just because of rescession and no one spending money on vinyl anymore?
Gutted about this news.
