Forums mods are welcome to delete this post.
I've figured out how to make filthy basses.

Now it just seems pointless. They're over used and overrated.
+ I'm useless at making anything good with them. :L

Anyway, thanks to all contributers.

I don't see why people say to use downsampling and formant filtering. You can get that ya ya sound with just the bitcrush effect alone. Just have to have LFO set up right.

downsampling and bitcrushing are pretty much the same thing

Yea. What I am saying is there is no need for the formant filtering.

not necessarily tho

altho I do agree that simply plopping a bitcrush plug onto a synced lfo will give you exactly what you want most of the time

Google 'Formant Filter' and it's the first one.

Reading this thread 6 months on makes me cringe.

The whole point of stereo is that the two sides are different. If both sides are exactly the same, you have a monophonic signal.

Good lord that is terrible. Predictable drums, way too much mid range, no real bass to speak of, and a very generic way of using the original source material. The very worst kind of YouTube remix that gives dubstep such a bad name in places.

[EDIT - Just seen your username, apologies for coming across as somewhat brisk with my comments. What makes this controversial?]
