A 3/4-time piano piece that plays during sad parts of movies

Post by WatchYourStep » Sun Dec 05, 2010 10:14 pm

That's the only way I can describe it. And instead of writing out sheet music, I just did up a quick audio clip for you to listen to (mediafire).

Could somebody please tell me the name of the song? It's driving me nuts

sounds like something from The Fountain (Clint Mansell) but I may be totally wrong

Sorry i can't help, but that does sound like a lovely piece. Wouldn't mind hearing the whole thing myself.

I changed the link. I think the piece plays a little slower, and the notes have more reverb, etc, etc.

Is there an app for smart phones whereby you can hum/whistle a song and it'll ID it for you? It used to be "Midomi", but it's no longer.

One of my favourite films and soundtracks too. Saw Clint Mansell and Kronos quartet at a church in Islington, Darren Aranorfsky was there, amazing!

I know, same with me! I can't remember what movie I heard it in, but it was definitely during a sad part.

eric satie - listen to it in the friends car back home from gigs - beautiful to relax your ear after hours of 105 db!
