The few times ive been to all day raves have been mental - proper love em! And going on what I said as well - every squat rave ive been to in the last year has had amazing sound systems a good energy to the crowd and you're allowed to smoke!wub wrote:legend4ry wrote:In the next 5 years I can see a resurgence of the illegal warehouse rave cropping up due to the lack of decent clubs.wub wrote:legend4ry wrote:To be fair, its not like a club whats perfect for DJs is going to last very long in this climate
Shame really, but you're right. The last few decent London clubs are falling by the wayside.
I can't wait.
I'm hoping to see a rise in small pubs that allow all day dance orientated events to take place. Not quite on the par of scuminess like George IV used to be, but along those lines.

I think the smoking ban has what's annoyed me the most. Not that I smoke, I gave up ciggies 6months ago, but it's the fact that half the dancefloor seems to empty every 30mins or so as people retreat en masse to the outside.

I really dunno what the government did it - they don't care about our health, if their pockets are lined with cash so it was a stupid law, really. Going out isn't the same...They say people are to skint to go out, its not the case! I can have a good night out with one pint and a 20 deck if I don't have to go outside every hour..

Because we're shifting more and more towards an Orwellian regime whereby things deemed to be 'bad' for us are banned. It's worked in fairness though, I used to smoke 10 a day and now I don't. Saved me a fortune.

It bugs me when I Google a VST, and the first few search results are all torrents/cracks. Is it any wonder people don't pay for software?

Not saying that thieving is ok, but if companies were serious about people not pirating you think they'd make Googling legit copies a bit easier.

What VST were you after?

I download stuff via torrents first so I can use all the features, and if it's good then i buy it so that I can get the updates etc for products you have to register and also I just like having something that is legit so I know it's less likely to die on me. The only things I torrented and never actually bought was Reason 4 and Absynth.

Ditto. I got a nice silver surfer vape in my bedroom studio. Such a good way to unwind after work.FSTZ wrote:hah..

worked on a tune all weekend and I'd love to be at home with the vaporizer and the sound but alas.. I'm here at the office.

I need a good vapouriser. My (nearly) 30 year old lungs are like two raisins.
Do you really get the same satisfaction from pulling on a vap as you do on a fat blifter though?

Re: Office Steppers
Not at all imo. I think vaps are poo poo. I dont want a "hit" of weed its not fooking crack lol. Its a bifta matey. A nice 10-20 min chill out zoot does me. Bunning it on and off with my headies on in my own lil world. Fooking love it and to be fair i would much rather a friday night sesh doing this than going out on the piss these days. The stereotypical club atmosphere is crap, now i got a house n the mrs dont need to go chick hunting, if i want a drink with the lads it will be at a pub so you can talk. Best place to be in the club is in the booth hehe.
Seems kinda "sad" as im only 20 that i spend so much time sitting in front of my computer, but i god ALOT done after i left school hence why i brought a house already lol. passed content im actually at my happiest mrs watching desperate housewives behind me, headies on, spliffen in the ashtray. job its a gooden. God i wish i could produce full time eh! would be the fookin bomb. your own boss, and you could blaze zoot "at work" as home studio would be in order.
Not sure how you guys feel about the weed, but i have loved the stuff over beer for a long long time and although i started production before the bud, i really think it enhances your particular mood. Makes me put a bit more emotion into my tracks. I tend to conerntrate on things vivdly when im blazed, only one thing at a time mind but vividly lol. So if i got nout to think about but my moosic then moosic gets made :p

Seems a bit paranoid to me. Cancer and other diseases that result from smoking cost them a lot of money. That's why.wub wrote:legend4ry wrote:I really dunno what the government did it - they don't care about our health, if their pockets are lined with cash so it was a stupid law, really.

I like it more non-smoking tho : smokers smoke less, people who don't smoke don't suffer from 2nd hand smoke and the clothes don't stink. That's all good!

Re: Office Steppers
there are definately bonuses in some places. Suppose clubs n pubs dont have to worry about ash everywhere, ashtrays and burns on the carpets. Still i think a proper PUB, not a beefeater family restraunt, but a PUB should be well within its rights to allow people to smoke. Its an adult environment. When half the people in there started going to the pub you could smoke in there so its not like they wernt or wouldnt be aware of it. ALot of you smokers will know is alcohol and cigarettes go hand in hand. i started smoking coz of drinking lol.

Evening went exactly as planned. Result.
Re: Office Steppers
On my fourth coffee of the day.
Fell asleep face down on my keyboard last night. Woke up at half 3 when my ex drunk dialed me and started ranting about how much of a prick I am and how she could hear a woman laughing in the background (I was alone).
So the plan for today is:
1 - Apply for restraining order.
2 - Change phone number.
