What speakers should i get?

Post by tom_pez » Tue Dec 07, 2010 1:54 pm

Safe, i Listen to all types of electronic music. however i dont produce. im undecided in what speakers to by. monitors or a standard hifi system. im lookin at getting KRK RP5 G2's dunno if i should pay that much though even though i think they do sound proper nice (from experience) even though i dont produce.

problem with that is from hearing RP9 KRK's i havent heard a hifi which sounds just as good maybe i just havent had chance what you think? dont want to buy a hifi when it could just sound dull like anyother standard hifi.

You could just not be listening to the right hi fi systems in all honesty. What sort of budget you looking at?

Get yourself a decent amp, something like a Yamaha A-S500 should be possible with that budget if you shop around. For speakers, Wharfedale Diamond 10s (not the floor standing ones sadly) should also be in your budget.

If you're after an all in one solution, and don't want to go with the upgrade factor that having a seperate amp would offer, then they look fit for purpose.

studio monitors are meant to have a flat response. they are not meant for enjoyable listening.
just get some computer speakers if you can't be assed
