DJ's to watch out for...

Post by dubmatters » Sat Dec 04, 2010 7:19 pm

I saw Joy Orbison and Ramadanman on friday and they were great.

Can anyone recommend some similar artists/dj's to go and see?

Thanks

Deadboy is about as close as you can get to a Joy Orbison set.

Hmmm. not really true that.
Both have completely different styles and play different types of music.

I've seen both twice, once on the same lineup (and near enough b2b), every time they played their new songs mixed with loads of 90s garage, shit was awesome.

A man of class and taste. feelin it.

The two best DJ sets I saw this year were Hunee & Floating Points.
Both playing exclusively vinyl, which whatever, is definitely not a make or break, but like, was very cool

Yeah Hunee was a real treat.
A lot of "REAL" house, great disco cuts.
Spent the whole next day record shopping with him, he is deep with records.

I do kinda get where you're coming from, but I've played b2b sets with both within the last 30 days and certainly, at the moment, they are on different tips. Both are great though.

The best DJ set I heard this year was Floating Points at Numbers. Incredible.

Ben UFO has to be left out of these debates to give the rest a chance loool :D
