we decided not to do that award this year. hope all you promoters out there aren't too disappointed but it was an award that didn't translate all that well internationally, or even outside of local regions, because with the exception of a few events most events are local affairs

By 120-140 do you mean 120-130bpm?

Most regular dub step is produced at 140

that award is basically for the kind of stuff you'll find in the house? forum here. so basically the dubstep mutations that are operating on the fringes of dubstep/house/uk funky/garage/grime/whatever. we had lots of discussion on quite what to name that award but that was the best option without having to pinpoint a name on a type of music that at the moment doesn't really have one

Yeah mate, if not impossible. To try and think up one name I consider "best" in any of these categories is absolutely solid considering the year we've had. I just had to put names down and know that justice will be done to all the others I couldn't nominate. Voting will be tougher rofl.

haha safe 1.... i'll second that, Battersea/ Nine Elms/ Vauxhall has pretty much been a second home for the last few years.. shame the only decent club in the area doesnt host more uk bass events!
