Cut half a bar of vocal, repeat 4 times. Cut 1 beat of vocal, repeat 4 times. Cut single step of vocal, repeat 16 times while gradually hipassing and or bitcrushing. Really? You needed someone to tell you to cut the vocal up?

course you can just slice the wav. up but matey this is the modern day. the amount of freeware out there that make it much more customizable. Fruity slicer in FL is amazing mate. Load the sample/vocal in and it locates key reference point (u can adjust these). Then it places them on seperate tracks in the piano roll and bam, stutter, reverse, re arrange etc very very easy. Wav. editting software and saving as a different sample. Or another good bit of kit is DBlue audio glitcher. it is a vst tho n i run it through FL so not sure bout ableton. What version you using?
All sorts of ways to do this with slightly different results.

FL has a feature like this built in. Just drag the sample to the playlist, bring down the drop down menu from the same, and choose one of the options.

Or open it up in slice x or fruity sliver and just place different notes at the different sound points.

I also think there is a glitch vst or something. Sorry you gotta google for it idk the name.

That unit has been RINSED.... Its so blatant when its been used in a tune now..

JFK, it has been rinsed but its coz people use it badly. If you actually sit and time it up properly and adjust the internal effects its mega powerful. Not to mention it has a shit hot filter on it. I use it alongside choppage to aid with glitch sounds. e.g. on my new trakc i sample my own bassline, chopped it, re arranged it and then put timley reversings in there with a lil bit of repeater and bam, desired results on bassline transition. Trust me basics have been rinsed but im yet to hear people experimenting with it properly.
Lol and yeah there are a few posts after mine that basically repeat what i said lol.
