Tried a couple of different patterns. Considered switching to 6 x 28hr days at one point, as well as the 2hr cat nap x 4 approach throughout the day. Sadly, a 65hr working week doesn't really allow for an awful lot of flexibility.

50-70 hours working week is what hinders me. But i can live easily on 3 hours sleep a night. reckon it will start to show soon tho lol.

My other problem is moolar. Everytime i bump my gear up i max it within a week. laaaaag oh glorious laaaaaaag fucking hate the stuff and interupts my delicate mixdowns :-(. Im hammering my soundcard at the moment and coz its a quad core processor it pulses a bit. If i add another heavy bit of sound to the track and go to play it through, it will lag and skip for about 30-45 seconds before playing and then there is always the chance it will lag again like this again at some point throughout the tune. My processor is working double time to compensate for the crappy soundcard lol. I have fine tuned my ASIO settings etc but i literally cant ask any more of my system lol. Warranty on this pc is up in 4 months so MWuahahahaha then the fun really begins.

Maxing my gear out is a problem, too many vsts running live. sometimes i make the synths or melodies and sample them and upload as a wav. its a bit nicer on the soundcard n cpu. but i got 8gb of RAM man i wanna be running nuff synths at the same time. So i quite often just persevere till i can upgrade lol.

Pricey stuff is few n far as well as i got 2 kiddies n a mortgage lol

Man, I am working on a 3.2ghz dual core and 2gig of ram and I only ever max it out when I use stupidly complex reaktor synths in a couple of instances.

You must be using absolutely billions of plugins to max out a quad core haha

My worse production enemy is the ever growing hate of the little space I have till I build my new desk. Having a room not perfectly layed out is the most awkward and uninspiring thing, you know .

that is actually the problem in my life. i fuck up so many things (not paying bills because i sit all day doing music, getting my GF upset because i'm regularly delayed for hours, miss uni....)

i get lost in music and nothing really can get me away from it when i feel it...

sometimes i don't feel what i'm doing. then i just immidatly stop producing and go on with (the rest of) my life.
Yeah man GF makes it hard to find time to sit down for a couple hours and write music. It's even worse at Uni because of the huge workload they like to pile on... plus my job... oh and can't forget eating and sleeping, partying, getting laid, friends, etc...

:)
My girl is super supportive, she understands I have to put the time into it. Atm I only see her on the weekends as I need all the time during the week to work on tunes plus I work during the day from 9-5 so this digs in to production time.

Fuck sleep you can sleep all you want when you are dead
fuck partying for now, put all your effort into making banging tunes and you will be the one keeping the partys going.
Definelty keep getting laid, that is a must

Also my biggest enemy when producing would have to be the internet. I can go from scouting out drum samples (productive) to watching shane dawson videos on youtube and wanting to kick his head in (Unproductive) :D
