Through the course of history revolutions HAVE served a purpose. And they tend to happen when the gap between the rich and the poor widens to a breaking point. Far from an excuse to loot, many revolutions have brought about things such as better labor standards, and a more egalitarian society. Wealth distribution IS a big deal, and in its current state is not entirely fair. Africa isn't poor because they're lazy... it all ties into colonialism, the agendas of the wealthy elite, and now the corporations that currently dominate globalization...worldwide the gap between the rich and the poor keeps widening. Slaves are still commonly in use in the wealthiest places in the word . Maybe we're long overdue for another wave of revolutions?
