Hey guys, been a while since Ive been on DSF, thought I'd post this new track up here though.

As Bledbox I usually do drum and bass and dubstep, however I've started a new side project with a friend called Bled Templars Alliance, we're dabbling in electro house, got 3 tracks atm all with different styles but here is the first, a cheeky bootleg availble for freedownload too!

Soundcloud

EDIT: hate to be cheeky and post multiple songs, but heres some liquid dnb Ive been doing as Bledbox

Soundcloud

@Shirka Really deep tune man, deffo feeling this, I'd quite like to hear some chopped up eery vocal samples in the intro maybe?

@pain that snare is pain to me ears, sorry but I really dont like it, I do however like that massive bass sound and the vocals. love the trancy stabs in there too give it some nice atmosphere

@arisemprex havent heard the vocal version but this track is sounding sweet, the guitar is sick man, youve done a real good job on this track the production is sounding fresh

@wirez really rate your tracks man and this is no exeception, sounding sooo good, love all the little details in there - gonna reserve my copy :)

@Hypefiend drums sound a little distorted to me,to be fair though it could be my speakers (they are fucked), I reckon you could've defiantly made more effort with this tune though, it has potential but I just think it gets a little boring man, maybe switch it up a little with a few different sounds or put a melody over different parts of the track or something

impey wrote:@whyrez - really liking that organ type sound along with that deeep bassline, vocal sample fits really nicely. Loving the smooth drums too! Really up my street, Glad to be on the compilation with ya!
Haha yeh man it's a real fairground-style organ, getting in touch with my traveller roots -w- I was going to comment on the description how I've never really heard one used before on a EDM track, think I will use it again! Glad you were feeling all the other bits bro, also glad to be on the compilation with you and that it's properly introduced me to your music :4: Big up matey!
arfus wrote:@wirez top notch track man. I love it. perfect use of that sample.
Thanks a lot man, really glad you're feeling it :D :D If you'd like some feedback, please let me know where to go as you're not utilising a sig lol -q-

Thanks so much mate, really appreciate all of your support and have noticed that you're a regular listener and commenter on my Soundcloud :4: Really pleases me to know that you're feeling the music!

Will return some feedback onto your tracks :D

@ reloukkz

nice tune man, not really my style but I can't find anything to fault :)

@ arisemprex

nice opening pads, sound a little disjointed jumping between the two but it kinda works, nice drop too, well put together, gonna be honest though, the version without the vocals kicks this one's ass imo.

@ TheBreadMan

first track: again not really my style, but the sounds are all good and the production value seems good, nothing bad to say really

second track: There's something a little naff to me about using the same voice sample in 2 different songs, but the tune itself is solid, good sounds nice progression in the bass, nice high end ghostly synth floating on the top and good beats :)

@ L 33

nice melodies and sounds man, props

@ arfus

that's probably the most horrifying thing I've heard all day, I mean that in a good way though, oh and I wouldn't be embarrassed about your gear, I'm working off a crappy laptop and similar headphones

@ Hypefiend

nice tune, I like the more natural sounding drums, not sure if that was intentional, but they've got a nice earthy tone to them at times, some weird and disorientating sounds in there but it's all good.

@ wirez

it's shit mate, give up producing :P

nah it sounds great as usual man, nice chords, great vox, love that big silky pad and the beats are all spot on as usual, props. Loving the sounds on the second drop, some really nice use of those nastier grittier sounds, plus it's combined really nicely with those clean plucky synths. Big ups as usual man.

@ impey

the first track feels a tad repetitive to me, i did have a bit of difficulty sitting and listening, but my attention span is shit so I'm not a great gauge of that, other than that it sounds really nice, great chill vibes throughout.

@ pain

lovely intro stabby synth, sounds amazing when that sub comes in, really nice texture to the whole thing, not keen that white noise snare at all, really really grates on me, it's like I don't even hear any snare in there at all lol, it's just so extremely white noisey, too much imo, apart from that it's a great a remix

@ Shirka

lovely tune man, reminds me the silent hill movie, really ambient and strangely tense, very cool sound.

@ Bledbox

tune is great, love those sounds, great vibes off the whole thing, really great work,

as for your liquid dnb it sounds great, snare sounds a little gritty and rough to me, personally i'd cut some of that tail end of it, it's a great tune though, love when you kick it down into half time, your drum patterns are lovely, the hi-hats sound a bit disconnected from the kick and the snare at times but given how good the over all programming of the patterns is I kinda don't notice it.

@bledbox - im liking the clean liquid dnb!
@kaiori breathe - ohhh my god!! soo sexy and relaxing... great vibes man :)
@shirka - love the synths man... great overall tone but kind of uneventful... but thats not a bad thing.

vvMy first (real) dubstep track. I'm new to all this software and producing stuff so take it easy. Suggestions on how to improve would be greeaat!! :Dvv

@pain I really hate the snare, and other than that it doesn't have much personality IMO, I'm not really into it but it's solid I think
@Bledbox both tracks are much too.... bouncy, happy, for me... but I think they're very well made and I could definitely see those getting play at clubs
@Shirka I love it, the long intro is irritating for me but its done well and the wait is worth it so it's all good, it gets a little slow listening to the whole thing but IMO that's better than what I'm doing making 2 minute tracks
@Kaori Breathe, it sounds good like pretty much anything you make, but I'm getting almost no sub movement and it's not... my kind of calm, so I'm not really feeling it. I know you do a lot of kinda sad slowish stuff so maybe I shouldn't be telling you this but I think it would be cool if you did something really individual, different. From... other saddish slow stuff and from your usual stuff.

Here's my track, I haven't gotten legit yet so I finished this short because I'm more into the creative just fucking around bit of producing than I am arranging shit and making everything sound good together so I get bored of songs and can't save projects.

Thanks for all the comments guys, it seems that everyone enjoys the track then. Just need to make my structure better I suppose.

I'll get back to you lot on Monday hopefully. Revising for an exam at the moment. I'll most probably drop a pm instead of a post in this thread, because I'm sure that the post would be lost in here.

subvox The intro is a bit dull, and the silence is too long until the drop I think. I don't really know what I think of drop, sounds like randomness to be honest.
PROG3CT-MAYH3M intro is dark as hell and so is the drop, crazy growls man. Vocal fit in well.
kidstrange intro has a nice atmosphere, nice ideas, the bass could be different, but nice effect nonetheless. That synth sound has a note that sounds alittle off key or in just wrong chord.

hey,

I've just finished a new track but feedback first, eh! I'm on headphones (decent ones mind) so I can't comment on how much my chestplate gets smushed. and i'm typing as i listen so it's just the first thing i think at the time. here we go.

@alexvont12 - mate, that's proper original. good to come with a fresh sound on your first go! you've got a good ear for sounds, i think you just need to let them breathe a bit. I'd put some stops and cuts to a single sample in there. It'll giveit some contrast and weight to the drops. me likey though. look forward to hearing more. :)

@SubVox - you lazy bastard! i'm going to finish my feedback early too. sounds nice but, to me at least, it's all about the detail. i reckon you should get in there and... ;-)

@PROG3CT-MAYH3M - flippin love the atmospheric intro. proper proper cool! flippin hench drop too! yeah, this is sick. sicker than aids. love it. oh my fuck. holy shitting fuck! holy pissing, shitting, jesus fuckerama!! yep. i likes it. :-D

@ninthy4 - i wasn't feeling the fade in, then i liked the vocal sample... then it dropped and i love it! that's Massive going 'dang-dang-dang' right? it sounds awesome and squelchy. love the filter c/o patterns. snare could be bigger but i tend to overcook my snares so it's probably just a personal taste thing. kick scratch is a really nice touch. vocal samples before the drops are cool. great work!

@reloukkz - strings are nice and tense. not feeling the vocal sample, bit loud. kick is nice. snare doesn't have enough weight for my taste. nice sounds, gets a little repetetive, could do with a change in feel somewhere. i like it. nice work. :)

@hypefiend - "I could've put more time into it but I was too lazy to :/" ....come on mate! ;-)

--------

here's mine. turn it up loud! i'd love some feedback on how it's sounding on different monitors and speakers. i've been switching between KRK 6s and mackie 10s. it sounds completely different on each. the kick is a bit low on the mackies but i can't turn it up more as it's already a bit loud on the KRKs. i can't hear straight at the moment. i feel like i've liquidised the inside of my head with sub bass. :-/

Synth177 wrote:@3za Another song that I really like. I really like that filthy sounding crazy synth. I've never really heard anything like that before in dubstep. The only two bad things about it are it gets a bit to quiet in the middle section compared to the rest of the song and I can't download it.
Soundcloud
Both are now fixed

@ phoxache, Really like the intro, very moody sounding to me. I was excepting this to be more of a chilled track, the drop caught me off guard. Not to sure on the vocal samples in the intro, I think I would drop them. This ain't my sort of thing normally, but I quite liked this track, the mixs is on point.

@ kaiori breathe, Another nice track from you, really like the piano. My only criticism, is that most of your tracks have a very similar structure, I think you should shake thing up a bit with you arrangement. other than that really good work.

@ impey, the intro is sweet man, and the sub is very strong. I think the sub could do with some space to breathe, just the odd pause every now, and again. Second drop could do with a few changes to keep people interested. Overall good tracks, just I few little things I would change.

I gave more than I'm sposed to! :a: I tried to get details in there but then I went in muting stuff to see if everything was really necessary and this sounded the best to me so I deleted everything else. Also I like the kind of skanky drums and they got drowned out a bit doing other stuff, thanks for the input though

Also: sick track, put some more phoxache filth extract on it! (that shit's genius, for real the tracks already ridiculous :n: but you can never go too far in that direction if you ask me which is odd cause all I make is soft stuff recently)

Thanks man.. I did some tweaking and updated..

@INCiDA Pretty good but the bass gets repetitive, feels a bit empty esp. throughout the whole length of the song... and you didn't post feedback ;)

@kidstange At 1:15 and some other places the synth sounds kinda loud/awkward tuning?? other than that I'm really likin' it. :W:

@phoxache Fucking amazing.. I'm listening on some shitty 2.1 logitech speakers and the kick sound great... almost too loud but in the "juuust right" zone.

Bumping for update :)

@ninthy4 - Oh Yes @ 1:25! I love that. I can't wait to hear more from you.

@phoxache - It sounds pretty damn good. I think the snare needs layering as it sounds quite thin at the moment, but apart from that, I think the track sounds tight.

@INCiDA & @alexvont12 - I can't really give you much advice as everything needs working on, I mean, I think you both just need to listen to more Dubstep and learn more about how the tracks are structured etc.

This is a new track that I have been working on... I am trying to incorporate more melodies into my tracks now.
