Re: Hardstyle
In layman’s terms I’m a displeased person; lunatic, maniac, dissatisfied person, madman, prick. You wanna play hard? Well I play in the graveyard and dance naked with corpses playing the depraved card- I’m chelsea smiling with my face scarred.

LOL leave it to the Germans to get anything "hard" right... well doneInvisibleMonsters wrote:

Just because I refer to electro house as electro does not mean I don't know the difference between Afrika Bambaataa and Wolfgang Gartner. It's just like how some people call tribal house just tribal, or how people say fidget instead of fidget house. It's just a short hand way of saying it. I thought we all could figure out by context which "electro" I was referring toHelix [Delay] wrote:Not at all. Haters can dance how they want
And on a side note, I don't understand how people can enjoy/dance to hardstyle, it's beyond me

Re: Hardstyle
I'm sorry, but that is usually not how it really works. As someone that's been doing electro for years, not to mention that this is almost a 30 year old genre with it's roots in Kraftwerk, I find that when I say electro and someone else says electro, 90% of the time we are talking about entirely different things. So, in the off chance that I get booked to play an electro DJ set and I'm playing some Satamile stuff or some MAS 2008 and people are tripping cause I'm not playing some friggin' Ed Banger or Dirtybird or whateverthefuck, then obviously we're not even talking about the same thing. So, I say label it appropriately and don't usurp the name so everybody can be educated and know what they are dealing with.honey-d wrote:

This whole thing started with Electroclash....
Re: Hardstyle
It's safe to say if you get booked for an "Electro" night they're not expecting you to turn up with 30 year old set. You know it, and they know it.mks wrote:I'm sorry, but that is usually not how it really works. That's like getting booked for a hip hop night and getting expected to play trance. Completely different genres mang.ketamine wrote:It's safe to say if you get booked for an "Electro" night they're not expecting you to turn up with 30 year old set. Yo, I didn't say I was playing some 30 year old stuff, that is just how long electro has been around.ketamine wrote:It's safe to say if you get booked for an "Electro" night they're not expecting you to turn up with 30 year old set. People actually dance like that?
Re: Hardstyle
