Re: Police drag disabled protester out of wheelchair
to be honest mate i was more bothered about what the coppers were doing to him, the reporter pissed me off a bit mainly because he kept butting in really winds me up when someones trying to talk and someone does it constantly, if he just held on a little bit longer im sure the guy in the wheelchair would of finished what he was saying so the reporter could of popped spoke thenBadman Juice wrote:I might be a dick but at least I can see the funny side to a news reporter being a bit harsh to a guy in a wheelchair.Rekah wrote:gwa wrote:i spy a dickexactly what i was thinking
im glad i read the rest of this thread, the little bitch fight between badman juice and other people made me happier, watching that video though i would of loved to plant a brick on that coppers face, id be getting sent down but that C U N T deserved it, i reckon the reason the other police pulled him away from the dude in the wheelchair was because they could sense the crowd was going to fuck him up, also that presenter is a wanker well all the presenters that ive seen that report on the protests always take the polices side, like the other morning they just kept asking a woman thats high up in the nus about the incident with the royals car getting attacked. they kept cutting her off and just making her look bad when she was making really good points
Re: Police drag disabled protester out of wheelchair
Reasonable point on the interview, from a BBC comments thing:
Not much to say about the actual footage beyond fucksakes, really. Eight months of tories and we're back to good traditional policing - breaking the back of dissent, stifling protests, don't worry if anyone gets hurt because we'll close ranks and make sure it never goes anywhere. The only silver lining now is that with video phones and youtube this sort of shit is going to end up making people more angry...My objection is simply illustrated. Were Ben Brown to interview Charles and Camilla about having paint thrown at their car, would he repeatedly ask whether they were asking for it? Would he reference comments that Charles had previously made about other subjects to suggest they justified the attack? Would he ask whether Camilla had thrown anything at the protesters, and then, once she denied it, would he ask again?

the guy was stuttering constantly it would have taken ages for him to spit his answer out. noones got time to humour the disabled these days.Rekah wrote:to be honest mate i was more bothered about what the coppers were doing to him, the reporter pissed me off a bit mainly because he kept butting in really winds me up when someones trying to talk and someone does it constantly, if he just held on a little bit longer im sure the guy in the wheelchair would of finished what he was saying so the reporter could of popped spoke thenBadman Juice wrote:I might be a dick but at least I can see the funny side to a news reporter being a bit harsh to a guy in a wheelchair.Rekah wrote:gwa wrote:i spy a dickexactly what i was thinking

Instead of dragging him out they should have just took out their anger on his legs. Doubt he would have felt it.

Jody McIntyre is my flatmate! Can't believe he is a household name now
Ashley don't be an eejit, he's got cerebral palsy therefore he has got feeling in his legs.
I think what is significant about the interview is not that the line of questioning is anything out of the ordinary, but the fact that Jody is disabled makes the BBC's unquestioning siding with power and authority all the more explicit.
The journalist is inculcated with an ideology of 'balance', which completely ignores the huge imbalances in social power relationships... indeed, to even acknowledge and accurately describe the existence of such huge inequalities and asymmetricalities is seen as dangerous ground, as straying away from the centre towards extremism. Thus, to a properly educated 'impartial' journalist, it is perfectly in order - indeed, as we see, it is a matter of pride - to treat the powerless the same as the powerful.

I would love 2 see what we don't...
Why did the same policeman confront him twice, what was he doing to warrant it??
A man with MS & in a wheelchair may not be a threat...
but that's not to say he wasn't fuelling the crowd!!
Maybe he was being fully aggressive, shouting, pulling fingers, holding weapons of some sort ( like he could of been holding rocks).
There is wayyy more to this story than is shown ah!!
