:z:

totally agree with your sentiment. Always amazes me, I mean this guy was just as authentic a 'London' sound as
those other dons.

Another name that gets overlooked is Ray Hurley. Another dude who chipped up some rapid tunes from the day.

Good stuff! :m:

yeah it's weird. you'd think he'd be really popular with all the hardcore continuum theorists considering his very obvious jungle influences marking the transition nice and clearly

i'm not too good on my garage history but it's not as if he was some weird unconnected producer either because he had that remix on zed bias' suburban lick thing. that's probably unknowingly the first thing i heard of his actually and took me ages to connect the dots and find out that he was the same person as dj south central

Yeah, selective 'amnesia' mate, the hipsters and tastemakers like to try and demonstrate their
all powerful knowledge.
Half of them probably weren't even there in the scene when it was first around. Know it all's like Simon Reynolds.
I like to redress some of the balance when the opportunity arises.

Millrain and guys like Sovereign and T.J Cases, Ray Hurley and the like are the ones that influenced me.
And strangely the one's you'd be hearing at the raves and on the pirates. In and around the South London sphere,
from Brixton out to Wandsworth.

i remember those dr disk mixes! need to dig them out on my old computer

tune 1 is sexy boy by j da flex http://www.discogs.com/J-Da-Flex-Sexy-B ... ase/384829

not sure on the other one but i'd say it was definitely ghost affiliated as well, and sounds like el-b to me

edit: found it http://www.discogs.com/El-B-El-Breaks-V ... ase/250631
