Nice
Funny you should bring up the kicks I was trying something experimental in this track by taking the real low out of the kicks that were not the first of the measure, Im sure soundcloud didn't help out any of this hah.
As far as your tune - Something tells me I want your drop to have more impact, right now I feel its kind of expected, and while the bassline and the tinkly synths are awesome, the drop kind of lets it down by not creating quite enough attention, It doesn't have to be drastic but a little something something would be nice. Like the drum beat, you got that nailed, and most importantly it doesnt get repetative. I think you should think abotu adding little crash hits and other stuff to keep the beat rolling, I find this usually really helps out my beats a lot. Otherwise your bassline is sick and def grooves!

Ez.

Just dipping back in with some more feedback. I'm typing as I listen again for that 'as it happens' chronological feedback style. Ya get me? Safe safe.

@topmo3 - I fucking love this. I'm more of your growling wobs kind of dude usually but this track feels flippin' MOODY!! Production sounds tight. Vocals sound awesome. You got a favouriter right here. I've favourited the shit out of that. Boom!

@A-List - Oooh, I like where this is going. "Era... era... era... era... BIG SUB!" Sounds fresh and tight. Hang on, feeling the dubby change up at 1:20ish. *nodding along* It evolves nicely over the length of the track. Maybe just use the vocal sample a bit less so we notice the other stuff more. Great work!

@RatRaceProducing - Mate, I'm feeling your tunes, proper dark! Great production, particularly like how the kick cuts through without sounding super compressed and harsh. I have lots of learn in that dept. I also like your epic pwning of the dude that accused you of not giving feedback! ;-) "i think it's kind of ridiculous th.." *BOOOOOM Shuuu-up fool*

@sprayyypaint - I dunno what to think dude. That's confused the piss out of me. I don't really understand it... but I like it. It's proper different. I often feel my tunes are too safe and predictable. This is out there. I'm gonna download it and give it another few listens. He he.. it's called 'Chills' but the download is 'spaceship.wav'. That adds to the trippy experience for me. Good work. :)

Gimme some comments on my Soundcloud peoples. I want a track with a shit ton of comments on it popping up all over the place. Makes me look popular! :4:

My new one is here /\ as well as in my sig here \/. Stick 'em both on at the same time if you're feeling saucy! Leave comments on both though, eh!

P.S. I can't think of a valid reason to use this smiley but hey, we're all cutting edge here. You can handle me dropping a :m: wihout good reason! That's better.... one more... :m: mmmmmmmm

phoxache - You have amazing style man keep that shit up legit, i love that lead synth, one of those download are mine haha

ElSonido - Track has potential but more as an ambient tune, it sounds good and heeeavvvy keep it up.

ninthy4 - BIG TUNE, bit crushing works so well with the heavy drums sick track. i think i'd wanna add a more rhythmic aspect and some vocals to it, thatd be sick

Dødstep - heavy vocals for synths that can't really make up for it, i feel that it should be a lllooot crunchier, i think some 2pac or rasta vocals would sound better lawl

ElSonido - i think your main synth is too wispy for it to be a banging track, like the drums, keeps a good rhythm.

bradicle - great track, reminds me of flux pavilion, in a good way haha keep it up buddy

wruce billis - not feeling it just feels unorganized feels like the synths in your song clash.

Grumblex - i absolutely love it, a relaxing ambient tune with well produced drums and great samples. like that rain in the background too haha definitely following you on soundcloud if you keep throwing up these tunes, and where can i download it?

LordBid - track has sooooo much potential, there's just a main synth and drum loop, kinda gets boring after a while but take advantage of those synths.

sprayyypaint - i actually like it, but the leevvveells on the bleeps in the back could be lowered and not used as much, they got kind of repetitive. nice work.

Here's 2 remixes from an Electronic EP im working on tell me what you think.

@ Krave First track This is really not my thing at all, think the mix could do with some work, it sounds a bit muddy and the growly bass could be cleaner, and louder imo.

@ phoxache intro is intresting, not really felling the rest of the track. Mixs some pretty good, so nice one on that.

@ topmo3 Quite like this track, sounds very oldschool. really like that funny bass sound, that sound a bit like a frog lol.

@ A-List them 808's are sounding fat. :W:

@ JBE Like it man, grab myself a mp3 :5:

Hey 3za,

Cheers for taking the time to check out my track. I just had a listen to your latest (and some of your other stuff) and we've obviously got wildly different taste! Still, it's good to see this forum has such a diverse range of styles.

Take care,

phox

P.S. when I post my next tune, give the intro a listen then stop it when the big solid block approaches the timeline... you're gonna fucking HATE it.

Soundcloud

I did post this before and got some great feedback, but I would like to know a little bit more on sequencing.
This is my first official track. I've learned tons since when I made it and I working on something that I think is MUCH MUCH better!
If you have any tips for a new producer, I would greatly appreciate it!! :D

If you can comment on my soundcloud that would be great too because its hard to keep track of the comments on this page! Once I learn a bit more about production I would be glad to comment on your guys' works, but until then I don't feel very qualified!

@ElSonido- I’m feeling it man. I like the intro a lot, maybe decrease the volume on it though so when the dubstep actually drops it packs some punch. I feel like the drop was kind of a letdown because the bass didn’t pack that much energy. Besides that, so sick man.
@Dødstep- Amazing stuff, I really like how you incorporated the screaming in it, surprisingly it sounded and felt right. I might have raised the volume on the wobbles a slight bit more but other than that I really enjoyed it.
@wruce billis- I loved the intro, I really like how it eases in. I do feel like there needed to be a little more variation in this tune though. Maybe it’s because you ease all of the instruments in so smoothly but it almost feels like it barely changes. I’m digging it though great work.
@LordBid- Amazing stuff. I have to say I just joined this forum, but I absolutely love it because of all of the different variation in all of the tracks and the creativity that I see in people like you. This is stuff I would pay for. Great work.

Well here's my track. I just started producing so my sounds are still not very unique to me yet. I think I'd like to add more sub bass but besides that i think it's alright. Also I took a sample from the "UKF dubstep tutorial" video.

@Mawsta - hey thanks for your kind words man! For a beginning song there are a few things ill key you in on. The are some mix issues, Namely your mid-range bass is far too loud in the mix-down, a pretty common problem, think about having your drums(kick and snare) being the biggest part of the song. Your beat gets a little redundant I think but at least the "beat-down" section switched it up pretty nicely :D Really work on your mix and be super critical of yourself, also it helps to listen to your fave artists and how they mix and you will find out whats going on. check your levels but you are on the right track, keep making tunes~!

@Lasttrooper - beat is pretty cool, so wonky on the intro. Kind of sounds like some guy drowning cus of that filter that creeps in every now and then. I think overall this could use more variation in both the drums and the bass to help it be less repetitive. Could also use some more sub on the bass, as of now im not hear much other than the kick and snare with some bass on them? So overall I like the rhythm but it gets a little repetitive and I would like to hear more bass!

@Krave - def well produced for the most part. Honestly I was grooving along till that bitcrushed bass came in... It sounds WAY too distorted and out of place. its really distracting to an otherwise pretty groovey track.

the second track has some mix-down issues, I think you tend to overpush the distortion on those mid-rangy noises, the tend to dominate your mix as a result. The kick is pretty muddy and the snare gets kind of lost in the distortion. I like your housey ravey stuff, it has a great energy and the melodies are well done. Look at toning down the distortion especially in that first tune its really distracting.

great atmosphere, very dusty sounding.. just gotta say though, loose the snare, it doesn't fit the tune and the way you've arranged the beat makes it sound far too standard sounding, a bit of swing and shuffle with some more gentle drum samples (clicks, woodblocks, good quality realistic claps etc..) will do the trick, maybe switch up the second half a bit.

other than that i really like it,

wtf your ignorance has made you look a plonker here, if you actually read through the thread rather than just posted you jabba, you will notice that this month i have left feedback to about 35 tracks thanks.... and id posted my newest track whilst at work... jokes. so just because the page has moved on i dont get feedback for my efforts no? Its not just me neways lol its just a case of you cant just read 1 or 2 pages of this thread and post crap like that.

More joke than the odd dickhead thats posting without feedback are the goons that just jump in with there bull.

Still all part of the fun i guess.

Will drop some more feedback later when mrs goes work

!peace!
i must've missed the part of my post where i singled you out individually....

i think others will agree with me when i say people come in here all the time posting tracks without any feedback at all. my comment wasn't directed at you, just at everyone who doesn't post feedback.

enough clutter, back to posting tracks!

@ Mawsta

I'm hesitant to say the kick pattern at the start is too busy, because I like it a lot! The kicks and hats disappear when the synths come in though. Love the bit around 1:30. The only things I can suggest are maybe layer in another snare to give it a bit more meat and bring up the hats in the mix. Good stuff!

@sprayyyyyyyyyyyyyypaint

Phased guitar sound is fantastic. I think it really works. Overall it sounds like there's a lot going on in the stereo image, but I think if you brought those ambient background textures in and out volume wise, or maybe a low pass, it could give the track a killer pulse and some dynamics.

@ Norvege

Sounding pretty clean, but the kicks need to have way more punch. They need to be the feature, in a way. Tips to make them stand out: Layer some samples. I generally mix an acoustic and an 808 kick. Sidechain. Look this up. It works in a way that cuts the synth volume every time a kick comes in, just for a second. Very effective.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Took it all on, polished it up, and a local dubstep DJ liked it so much it got dropped last night. Things move quickly!

@ElSonido - Sick tune mate, loving the automation and the bass drop at the end of bars.

@sprayyypaint - Sounds reaaally muddy, I would work with the mix-down a bit more... It would sound fuller if you turned up the drums, they seem a bit low. Really feelin the melody and all the unique sounds though... Keep it up :W:

@Mawsta - Fuckin sick bro.. Really feelin the 1.25+ section... A bit repetitive but barely noticeable. Good work.

vvvvProduction noob... second song... tell me how I did/advice?vvvv

Loving the ambient pad. The kick sounds too acoustic, needs to be tightened way up. The snare/hat sounds are great. Perfect for the track. Is that reverb on the bass? It's nice and thick, but if you can tune your reverb, try and low cut the very bottom end. Reverb on bass is a touchy business, it can muddy really quickly. Loving the drum patterns too. At the drop at 0.42, if you threw in a crash symbol or some kind of similar impacting sample, it could be a good transition into the bass. A bit of a pop. Same at 1.44. Very chilled though. Lovely to listen to.

excuse me for my abrupt intro on this forum, just copied the chaps before me who also didn't give any comments.

I've now added some comments on several tracks on the soundcloud pages ;-)

here's a little update of my track.

+ question: is it possible to update a track on soundcloud? I now just deleted the older version and added a new one instead.
