I just uploaded 44 of my Massive patches to Glitch Hop Forum in the production thread. Help yourself and let me know what you think.

Made in Massive 1.1.4. Just in case you wonder why you can't open them, if you can't open them.

Ok, d'loaded the file, unzipped to a folder etc etc. Tried to open through Massive (legit copy, got it last week) and told that file cannot be opened.

Any suggestions?

make sure the patches are put into the folder in document & settings/native instruments/shared content/sounds/massive (or something like that - i'm on a mac)
then go to browser click the sounds tab and look inside "my sounds" and try opening them from there.

Probably version conflicts.
Chewie, what version of massive were you using when you made the patches?

I can't remember tbh i did do these a couple of years ago so an old version but it shouldn't matter. Maybe the files in the link are fucked (it's not actually my link so not tried these exact ksds but they should be the same ones i made).

ah thats the problem there then
massive is a tnuc, it wont load any ksd's unless they were made in the same version that you're using.

Hold up, does that mean if I were in future to upgrade my copy of Massive to a newer update, then patches created under the old version would no longer work? Or does Massive somehow update the KSD files as and when the VST itself is upgraded?

Ive got the latest version of Massive and I use patches I made ages ago before I upgraded, so you shouldnt have a problem. I think Chewies patches must be corrupt as they dont even work with the older version of Massive that Ive got on my old production lappy.

Its a shame, I like Chewies style and was looking forward to biting it -w-

You don't have to do this to get your patches to work. If you have a Mac, just simply go in your Macintosh HD directory and make a new folder in there (or wherever you want) and then call it Massive Patches (or call it whatever you want) then go in Massive go to File - Options - Then Locate the folder within Massive and double click it then click Rebuild Database and there you go.

o yea I think you have to update in order for this to work.
