if you cant think of something original to do with your time, go buy an xbox! and quit filling up the forum with useless junk.
This, we go out of our way over on mine (which Ill resist shamelssly spam linking, and assume anyone whos into deeper stuff will ask if they want it) to lock down solid mixes from artists we think need the hype, we give people outlets for there dubs they would wnana distribute for free but would like added promo with, we feature visual artists, production tips and break samples, cmon, not all of us who run blogs have nothing to say, jeez.arktrix wrote:What about blogs with exclusive content and exclusive mixes from big players?!
hahaha, could say the exact same thing to most 'producers' who need "help" or "feedback" or "production tips" tbh.Be-1ne wrote:if you cant think of something original to do with your time, go buy an xbox! and quit filling up the forum with useless junk.
I also hate people who have one-man projects and use the term "we" to make it sound like a collectiveAquathesis wrote:This, we go out of our way over on mine (which Ill resist shamelssly spam linking, and assume anyone whos into deeper stuff will ask if they want it) to lock down solid mixes from artists we think need the hype, we give people outlets for there dubs they would wnana distribute for free but would like added promo with, we feature visual artists, production tips and break samples, cmon, not all of us who run blogs have nothing to say, jeez.arktrix wrote:What about blogs with exclusive content and exclusive mixes from big players?!

it does seem kinda odd though when people come on here and tell people to get on their blog to keep up to date etc when people on here are the most aware of whats happening in dubstep already lol

your blog is your own work / drawings - which makes it good as only you have the content.monsta l4l wrote:how come this topic gets posted just after i start my blog hahaha,

A lot of these blogs/sites get started with good intentions, then they turn into massive ego trips for the people writing them. I think that is part of the reason why mine is sporadically updated and when it is, its something I'd consider to be worthwhile, rather than typing endless re-jigged one sheets. Granted, my grammar and spelling isn't the best and the producers and DJ's I cover aren't to everyone's taste, but if something in the tunes resonated within me, then it might in another person?
Even if its only one person that gets turned on to some of my friends like J:One or Wen through the tunes of theirs I posted, then it justifies why I keep doing it. At some point I also want to start a label and run it alongside the blog, so all the contacts I make now, I'm sure will help me down the road.
If heads don't agree with what I'm doing just because there has been an explosion of "blogs/sites" recently, then it is kind of upsetting. Especially when all I want to do is showcase good music that might otherwise be overlooked. Where is the crime in that?
