The latter is geared towards drum and bass, and specifically the Jeskola Buzz sequencer but if you read it you'll see that a lot of the tips can be applied elsewhere too, even to dubstep :6:

brilliant! big ups man, i read that eq tutorial awhile ago and have been suggesting it ever since, it's incredible. very excited to read the bassline tips.

also, if you are able to get that compression tut out, you should be rewarded... :4:

My new year's resolution is to get the compression tutorial released before Easter.

Right, I need to stop drinking as right now all the animated smilies are moving in perfect rhythm to this tune I'm listening to :-o

Appreciate that, thanks. I don't know if Steve has an active website any more. Last time I spoke to him, he'd pretty much ducked out of the whole dnb music scene and all his old links don't work any more.

sick tutorial, really made sense with the whole box concept, i have always struggled to get full fatness in mixes and it helped visualising filling out a box along a good spread of frequency, pan and volume
