If it's not to similar to the Battle Royal coming up in the new year, pairing two people up for a battle would be quite a good way to push yourself, plus it would get a community vibe going, if a lot of people were involved who perhaps don't post much 'cos of all the noob bashing
Re: 3za VS Legend4ry tune battle
so you telling me that tune a all of a sudden jumped 14 votes in a few hours? and track b didn't get any increase in votes within the same time period? lol.
it's a fucking lie.
it's a fucking lie.

That's how these things tend to go down, neck and neck for a bit then a clear leader starts to make itself known XDqwaycee_ wrote:so you telling me that tune a all of a sudden jumped 14 votes in a few hours? and track b didn't get any increase in votes within the same time period? lol.

i think tune battles would definitely help build a community! as long as they were done in a way that was fun and encouraging, then i bet it would really make people push themselves and improve.JemGrover wrote:Yeah, man.vulvavibration wrote:mho we should do more often such vs. tracks! love the idea.

Although track B has a nice atmosphere, the bass spoils it a bit for me.
In track A i think the synths are a bit to warm compared to the bassline and drums, still im feeling the overall vibe more than track B.
Voted A

No, a tune battle is serious business, with serious consequences.

Re: 3za VS Legend4ry tune battle
Struggling to bring myself to bring myself to vote, not really feeling either track to be honest.
A - The percussion is too "straight", and I don't really feel any incentive to move any part of my body to it. The melody is pretty basic but those flutey pads are about the only element of either track that stands out for me.
B - I just don't like it at all, it sounds like being stuck in a lift in a Japanese shopping mall in 1986. Some thought has obviously gone into the way the different synths work together and the occasional rhythmic changes, but everything feels way too lightweight and... tacky. Sorry.
After thinking that through, I'm going to vote for A in that it sounds like an unfinished tune that could be improved upon, rather than B, which is the kind of thing I'd expect to hear Glen Ponder playing in his Norwich wine bar

Harsh crits of track B man, thought the 80's feel of it was the charming feature, for me anyway. Really reminded me of end sequences on the Mega Drive. I dont think it was shitcogidubnus wrote:Struggling to bring myself to bring myself to vote, not really feeling either track to be honest.

But you're right of course, feedback should be honest. And each to their own, my honest assesment is thats its far from being shit, but not everyones gonna agree with that.
