I do not disagree with you in the least bit
Time to post less and maybe read something interesting on Wikipedia instead

Agreed, but I am actually curious to see what the haters can do. I sent my track in already.
I guess, but I still fail to see what the point is. I understand it can all be a bit of fun, but this is a "battle," yea? So these tunes have to be evaluated. So what is the evaluation criteria? How close it is to an established style and sound created by a few people? How cheesy and over the top it is? If we're scoring tunes based on negative values, then it means the tunes that are further away from these values (i.e. original, not corny, and so probably further from the "brostep" sound) are going to be scored lower despite actually being better tunes.
So the winner is essentially who can make generic, unoriginal music based on a template created by other people and adhering to what everybody knows is a low standard. It just doesn't sound like something to be proud of. So I guess the part I don't understand is the actual "tournament" part of it. Again, I'm not trying to be a wet blanket, it just seems like a contest where the winner won't really have much to be proud of.
Chill out mate, it is a bit of fun, dont take it so seriously. And the winner is whoever gets the most votes because they made the most enjoyable track. Voting isnt based on 'the most generic sound'
No need to tell me to chill out or not to take it seriously, I'm just bored at work and posting my opinion for the sake of discussion really. I'm honestly not the least bit worked up about it. If it's going to offend people or seems overly serious or aggressive, I don't mind deleting it (although you've already quoted it, haha). If it's just gonna bring drama, it's not really worth it.
Sorry i think you've misunderstood, i didnt think you were worked up or aggressive, i probably shouldve worded it better really.
But you really dont need to pick it apart like that, its a challenge to see if those who slate a supposedly "easy" style of music to make, can actually come up with the goods. A bit of fun, with a bit of an agenda behind it.

OK that's cool, I was just saying that I'm not trying to get anybody worked up, I'm just EXTREMELY bored and felt like talking.
So forget I said anything, don't mean to be a buzzkill in any way whatsoever!

If you want to resubmit, 5pm is the last submission. I'll keep an eye out for your pm if you do?

Right, to hell with the switch up. It means masses of eq for the pad to fit. So what if my bassline don't wobble at ear shredding levels, it has mandatory film sample, robot noise and shite drums
Gentlemen of ye' brohood, I bid thee goodnight and good luck.
