@tripwire22 very relaxing, that sub bass is great. Not that fond of the bassdrum though.
@superginger it might be just me, but some of your sounds are missing certain frequencies e.g. way too little high. I like the ideas you got going on here, but the mixdown just sounds very sloppy to me.
@johnny6 you got some nice sounds going on there, but where's the low?!

Here's what I'm working on ATM, I really ran out of inspiration and would appreciate some ideas a lot!

Here we go promised id get on the feedback

@ aez liking it so far im torn with the drums though t i think there sounding nice and have a really tight groove but theres a couple of places they get a lil hectic and i rekon stripping them back a bit would work
Liking the atmosphere been working on similar sort of vibe with one of my tracks atm if i had to say anythin else i rekon u could look at gettin some sort of lead just to keep things ticking along overall though its sounding sweet so far deffo like to check out the finished version

tripwire22: really like the vibe i get from this. might want to try layering in different snares (maybe one without reverb occasionally) to keep the beat a little more interesting. your sub is nice and simple too.

Aez: the percussion in this is pretty sick. i think id try adding a quiet intro to it to build up to that too. as far as inspiration goes, i feel like i should be hearing some RNB vocals somewhere in this -q-

breakmonster: i really love the trance-ish sound in that intro. reminded me of some nero tracks. a lot of high frequencies here that im not too fond of but i kinda see how it works. could possibly take that wobble synth an octave or 2 down.

This is a track that I started working on yesterday for a few hours. I am a rookie at this whole production thing but the future is bright this I know. Would love some input and I will return it as well.

@aez nice feeling. could use some progression/change to make it more interesting imo

@breakmonster really cool build up. nice sounds. could use more/different samples

@nylle really feeling the mood of this. awesome soundscape and progression throughout. didn't see that bass wobble coming but it's interesting. i, like you, don't really know what i'd add to it

here's mine. don't really know what vocal clips to add to it... comments and criticism appreciated.

@nylle - Very nice brov, great bass and heavy sub. I like all of the subtle fx. The only thing that would be worth a try would possibly making the snare pop out a little more in the mix, otherwise, very solid!

@superginger - This jam is solid! Very much diggin the glitchyness. Mos def can imagine this on the dancefloor....even with the ladies shakin their asses :D:

@Kes-Es - very cool bass sound mang.. makes me feel like I'm robotripping while ice fishing :6: Everything sits very nicely in the mix, well done =)

I'm not sure what to think of my WIP.. I got a little drunk after the fam left after christmas dinner, and this is the goofy shit I came up with.. Needs a whole lot of mixing/mastering, but let me know what you think.

i really love that synth at the beginning the notes you picked for it are great
not so sure about the notes you got playing on that one synth at around 0:40tho... doesnt feel like it goes with that intro
i kinda like the reverb on that kick drum too, thats pretty cool.

the wobble bass at 1:44 doesnt match the song imo. id try playing with the octaves and see if you can get a little more sub out of it
or dont -r-

@ Nylle - Thanks for the feedback, what kind of speakers do you have btw? I'm using Yorkville YSM2P's, which are nice but a little bright. Your track has a great clear mix. What i find is missing is that it takes a liiittttle bit too long for the bass to come in, and when it does, it's a little bit...what's the right word, just doesn't have a lot of punch i guess. I'd add some chords or pads in there maybe to fill out the sound a bit. One thing to try as well with the percussion would be to have a groove where the hi hat or aux percussion over top of the main kick/snare is less sparse and more straight ahead... like straight 8th notes with some accents on the offbeats or something. I'm a drummer so I'm picky with drums :) Other than that your in the right direction and like i said your overall mix sounds very nice and clear.

@Dissent - nice, that snare sounds wicked...very trashy, i like. Your main wobble bass synth to me is just a LITTLE bit too abrasive...which i think is what you were going for, but to me it's just a little much, maybe put some chorus on that to warm it up and spread it out a bit? I also find that the frequencies of it are clashing a bit with the snare and almost cancelling it out in some areas. You might want to adjust the eq a bit. Other than that I really like the hype feel and the overall mix sounds clear. At lke 2:20 on i think is when your song starts to sound the most dope tbh.

im actually using

http://www.bose.com/controller?url=/sho ... /index.jsp

right now, but i test most of my tracks out in my car ( mark levinson sound system, HOLLA~*~*)

one of my kick drums is functioning as a bass for that introo, but i actually got a similar response from someone else who said the intro was kinda long. i like the idea of straight 8ths. appreciate the feedback as well!!

@Breakmonster Dont have monitors haha, but overall it was a great sounding track
@nylle the drop on your second track is massive!
@Dissent it seems like your track is fine without vocals, and in my opinions no vocals would really fit the track
Here is my track. Its the first ive ever produced. I made it on Cubase with massive. Any constructive criticism, changes, tips or whatever kind of feedback is much appreciated!

@ Mta7388 the 'loneboy' track -Snare needs to be louder bro, maybe layer it up with a rimshot so it cuts through if you want to keep it at low volumes, but even so, it doesn't have to be cranking but I think a little louder at least. But is sexy little track all in all..

@MindControl If you want more variation my suggestion would be to find a vocalist (or samples) and structure it in a verse/chorus format. Add a little bridge riff between verse and chorus to separate them and make the Chorus in the same key as the verse but with a variation in the riff, bring in something a little more prolific in the Chorus like a panning delay or ambient running synth, that way even if the verse and chorus riffs are technically the same they will still be seperated as a verse and chorus :)
Even without vocals on it, try imagining a vocal line for the verse and one for a chorus and let the music follow that.. use your imagination, its your best friend ;) PS cool name :D

@ Akkep Don't be afraid of your stereo field my man when it comes to drums, the hi hats all sound like they are sitting at the tip of my nose, aswell as the kick and the snare, its all too much in one place, surround my head with sound bro, its a very cool little track and it would be cool to be immersed in it not just a spectator ;)

Heres my 2 all feedback, especially straight up (harsh) feedback is apprectiated, it makes us better musos I think:

Listen to them right through if you have the time because the riffs don't stay the same for long..
