Best small/medium monitors.

Post by Rhodrijen » Tue Dec 28, 2010 1:48 pm

Looking to get my first set of monitors, obviously size should not be my main concern but im working in a really small space and i can't really fit huge monitors in.

im looking at the Yamaha HS50m, so anything around that size would be perfect.

price range is around £400-£500.

any help would be great.

What you want is a monitor that is made for bedroom or project studios. For instance my focal cms50's have special settings for certain spaces. IE if you will have them on a desk or on stands, how tall is your room etc.

my main problem is that the monitors are going to be sat on a window sill, so the depth of them is a problem. my room as a whole is kinda weird so its prob not even the best place to be making tunes, but oh well.

Monitors should be as far away from walls and corners as you can get them. Can you rearrange your room?

I have Yorkville YSM2P's and i love them. You might want to get the matching sub if you get them, but they do monitor the sub decently for thier size.
