Help with studio headphones!!

Post by lidchi » Thu Dec 30, 2010 10:06 pm

Yo, I have about € 449.00 to buy a really nice set of studio headphones.

The ones I have had my eye on are the: Sennheiser HD600/650
-or-
Ultrasone pro 900/2900

They all seem very nice but I don't know which ones to get as I don't know what to look for in a set of studio headphones.
Please can you give any feedback on which ones you suggest and why. Or the pros & cons.

Any help is appreciated!! :)

yeah read that.

i can vouch that the 650s are fucking sick. but try some out for yourself.

good thing about headphones is for that little money (in audio terms) you can own the very best.

Yeah, thanks :) At the moment the 650's seem to be winning me over but if others say the Ultrasone are better that could change my mind.

Sound on sound is pretty much the best reference ever.
Go for open or semi-open backs for studio use.
