anyone that can inspire skepta to write bars about them, specially bars that come jus before the whole club shouts "...oh my diddy." must be doing something right imo....The only thing Chantelle Fiddy's ever done is suck Plan B's little cock... How's that a contribution to Grime or Dubstep, or even Plan B?
big up ms. mel. your last plan b mag interview at nandos was one of the best pieces last year! respect. you and 8 should be working on things together i'd say!bribkin wrote:yes yes y'all

anyway 2 anyone interested in this thread, I've done a feature for WAH (We Aint Hoes) mag, a fanzine that a mate of mine does. It's all free and fun shiz, v ltd distro. I just wanted to big up some of my girls in the dubstep scene so there's short interview profiles with: Letty, Dot & Subeena, Georgie C, Mary Anne, Misoh & Arorah. Many apologies to anyone i've missed out; I did ask around a lot. I didnt include US ppl just cuz the feature ran too big as it is. Not sure when it will be out but will post up here when it is.

I try to rep girls as much as poss with my journalism, if there is anyone who wants me to check out some1 or their own stuff please pm me on here. (I'm writing still for WAH, Plan B mag, plus a couple of other exciting things in the bag, wil b up on my myspazz soon - /melissabradshaw). U know it's not about discriminating - i write about boys all the time! - it's just the things i'm into there are less girls around so u have to look a little harder for them.
big up all the girls on the scene who i didnt write about as well (specially dolly, grumpy, josephine and not leastly hanna hanson my fellow deck - shoop shoop!) xxx

In the patriarchal society, masculinity is threatened by examples of successful (and self-made) femininity.bribkin wrote:its certainly revealing that ppl turned to the slut type insults so quick... if it were a man?
In order to re-assert the "natural" dominance of masculinity, the successful female often has her success ascribed to supposedly corrupting 'feminine' properties - generally speaking these are properties associated with the body not the mind.
Therefore, rather than gaining success through the 'masculine' properties such as rational thought or intelligence, they must have established themselves through feminine charm or sexual promiscuity.
This then serves to prove that they are still of lesser worth than males in equivalent positions.
