Some lesser known bands i've discovered this year...

Tiago La Is Losing The Plot

He/They released a quality self titled EP this year which I can't stop revisiting. Some tracks here :

The Internal Tulips

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=izdMua_A ... playnext=2

Their album Mislead Into A Field By A Deformed Deer was released on Planet Mu earlier this year. Great songs with nice trippy ambient vibes. Plus a contender for the best named album ever :D

The Phantom Band

Glaswegian band who have just released their second album The Wants. Going from strength to strength, can see them making a name for themselves in 2011..

My girlfriend is really into HIM (I like one or two of their tracks but on the whole I am indifferent about them) and one night she dragged me to Birmingham to go see them. I decided to attend with an open mind. The support act came on and announced that they were called dommin and from LA. They were really good. Fantastic stage prescence, lively, enthusiastic and great music (80's pop meets modern metal/rock/whatever you want to call it). They were a little cheesy at times but, I think that contributed to their appeal. Him on the other hand, were disapointing. The songs were unimaginative and unmoving. The stage banter was inaudiable and the predominant fan bass were fat 14 year old emos.

Seriously though, check out Dommin with an open mind.
Bass music lover since day dot.
